Hefty decline over the recent months/years
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich: Colleagues and provided equipment. The product (!) and the dedication to make it even better. Flexibility to work from home. Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich: Chaos. Chaos everywhere. A 12 year old company that behaves like a recently founded start up. No clear strategy (long term), everchanging goals, responsibilities and expectations. Results are super high workload and confusion in every regard. Communication is among the worst I've ever seen. One of the many results of incompetent/absent management. Verbesserungsvorschläge: Settle on a vision for the next X years. Decide long term, stick to it. Instead of introducing new policies, tools, whatever, reduce what you already have and maximize usefulness. Care for your people and try to make it look authentic. Arbeitsatmosphäre: Fairly solid since working from home. Colleagues tend to be very engaged and in it for change. Superiors barely care. Image: Immensely suffered during the two layoffs. Many of those that weren't laid off lost faith and left. A shell of it's former self. I've heard the term "a stain on your CV". Work-Life-Balance: Vacation policies are great, you can take time off whenever you need/want to. Working hours are far more than agreed on if you want to keep up with your workload. When mentioned, it's promised that this will be fixed but it won't be any time soon. Aloha burnout. Karriere/Weiterbildung: Cost saving measures hit hard. No more spending unless "business critical". Kollegenzusammenhalt: One of the better parts of working here. Most colleagues are a joy to work with. Many bright minds that come up with great ideas/solutions. Umgang mit älteren Kollegen: Not exactly great. You'll gain extra responsibility without the career and salary upgrade. Vorgesetztenverhalten: Decisions are made left and right, but nobody really knows why. Most goals feel accomplishable but are scrapped shortly after for even shinier goals. If you're lucky you get some say in the decisions that affect you. Arbeitsbedingungen: You'll get everything you need to do your job. Very top-of-the-line equipment to use and a full home office setup including everything you could wish for. Kommunikation: Despite recent efforts, this is probably still the biggest issue at Ada and has always been. Important communication is drowned in dozens of channels, communication strategies change every few months. Gehalt/Sozialleistungen: You'll get a fair salary, nothing extraordinary, but it'll do. It will usually be on time, but not always the correct sum. Apart from salary, not much they offer. Gleichberechtigung: I believe this is also one of Ada's strong(er) suits. Apart from gender, there's clearly favourites that will get better treatment than others, though. Interessante Aufgaben: Very lacking. While you have some say on what to work on and when, you will simply not have the time to work on interesting tasks.

You better stay away / Lieber nicht
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich: Nice colleagues (most of them), free drinks. Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich: Management, strategy, revenue, vision. After the layoffs back in 2020 the founders put together a new management team. The result of their work is layoffs 2022. I really question whether they have any idea what they were doing, especially when it comes to revenue and product development. If you want to avoid disappointment, don't apply there. Verbesserungsvorschläge: Attend a course how to lead a company.

Stay away from them!
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich: nothing! Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich: I should say, if you choose Ada to work for, you can be sure, you made a big mistake in your career path. This company has no clear strategy. They change every second their direction! What does it mean? No real revenue for the company. What's the solution to that? Let's lay off some employees randomly! They have recently laid off more than 50 employees and many contractors. I heard this happened also early 2020. Back then, they also laid off around 50 ppl. An unstable company and no clear career path for the employees. Ah, there are some exceptions to that: If you are loud, you get promoted...But what happens if you are good at work? you can count on being on the next hit-list of the company! They grow so fast just for showing off in the industry. Look we are growing, we are doing good! Pst! every 2 years we are firing people! And that's normal... because the economic recession is coming, blah blah! No! you didn't plan the growth properly. They confessed that they grew too fast and not well planned.. but who suffers from this? The poor laid-off people! My friend, do yourself a favor and stay away from them! Verbesserungsvorschläge: Close your company! or sell it somebody who can manage an organisation!

Good idea bad execution! An Ada Review
Verbesserungsvorschläge: concentrate on what is important today and in the Foreseeable future (1 -2 Years) Do not take Processes off Company Polcies just because you can and will!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Find the culture and people that care (if they are responsible for a team) Arbeitsatmosphäre: If you are lucky and do not get micromanaged than its pretty nice! but bare in mind there is no culture! Image: Well i think its quite frankly declining. Don't get me wrong here. the Idea is fantastic. But the decision making and people are not so fantastic. its eat or get eaten mentality in a lot of teams! Work-Life-Balance: Was gud but is now extremely bad for certain team - also splitting up a team and forcing only one half into the Office is a VERY nice culture! Karriere/Weiterbildung: Was a 4, now not anymore (for everyone that loves Shakespeare) Due to cost and saving a lot of Opportunities were Cut Kollegenzusammenhalt: its actually 4 stars if the fact, that the company FORCES Co workers to hide IMPORTANT INFORMATION away from only certain Employees, is not taken into account Vorgesetztenverhalten: Feel like either the leadership team and (flat hierarchies) your supervisor are ignoring the Problems in the present. They give you a feeling of caring for you requests and Problems! Arbeitsbedingungen: Nice you get a Laptop and peripherals! but again the Non existing culture! Kommunikation: There Is NONE! and if there is, its broken. there is basically no cross team clear Communication!! if something goes wrong its never someones (own) fault. No clear structure behind decision making (looks like Company interest is based on the Top Investor - even if that is the worst path possible) Communication between Managers and workers is fine to say at best a lot of thing are kept away from an employee (from managers and team members all together!!) a Lot of context switching and no clarification! Gleichberechtigung: Clear favoritism in every Level - from team to C -level Interessante Aufgaben: For the Most part quite adverse but not challenging! mor of like 2,5 Stars!

Overgrown "Start-Up" with unclear Mission
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich: Money Management! very Very bad hiring spree with no improvement in Company Performance / culture! Decision changing all the Time no clear goal in mind Arbeitsatmosphäre: Depends on the Team and Performance Work-Life-Balance: Was nice until a part were forced to come back to the Office - although i didn't mind it it was bad for some co workers! Karriere/Weiterbildung: there are possibilities to improve but due to Poor Money management some of it had been cut! Vorgesetztenverhalten: Again Good if you can be performant in their eyes - if not they will drop you A lot of last minute Mind changing due to pressure from Above! no need to think about the feeling of others! Arbeitsbedingungen: Like always there are employees you will like and some you won't Kommunikation: Again depends on the team - C -level Communication is somewhat spongy without a clear goal in mind Team Communication is also bad Gleichberechtigung: Never really felt like a Part of something as the Manager had clear favorites!
