Extremely Disappointing Experience

Extremely Disappointing Experience I had a very disappointing experience with Adore Cosmetics in McAllen, TX. I was told that I was getting a great promotion and that the total amount I would pay was $525. Based on what was explained to me, I agreed to the purchase. However, when I checked my card, I discovered that I had actually been charged $1,200. I immediately reached back out because I wanted to return the purchase within the 14-day return period stated in their policy, but I was still refused a return. The difference between what I was told I would pay and what was actually charged is extremely concerning. Customers should be able to trust that the price and terms being presented to them are accurate and transparent. I feel that I was misled about the cost and then denied the opportunity to return the purchase. I strongly recommend that anyone considering doing business with this company carefully verify the final price and charges before agreeing to anything. In my opinion, this kind of business practice needs serious investigation and accountability. No customer should feel manipulated into spending $1,200 after being told they were paying $525.

BUYER BEWARE

BUYER BEWARE — ELEVE / ADORE COSMETICS IN STUART I had an extremely upsetting experience with Eleve and Adore Cosmetics in downtown Stuart - 25 SW Osceola St, Stuart. I specifically authorized $2,000 on one credit card and $2,000 on another, but I later discovered a $4,400 charge on my Visa that I did not authorize. I had also recently undergone cataract surgery and accidentally left my new reading glasses at home. I specifically told the technician that I could not properly read the paperwork or receipt. When I returned home and reviewed the receipt, I immediately realized the amount was not what I had authorized. I contacted the business, my credit-card company, and the Stuart Police Department to document the fraud that occurred. On July 17, I called and spoke with the manager. I was told, essentially, “Too bad. We have a no-refund policy.” My response is simple: A no-refund policy does not give a business permission to charge an amount that a customer never authorized. I am 65 years old and a full-time caregiver for my disabled 71-year-old husband and the sole income for our household. I feel that I was completely taken advantage of through aggressive, confusing, and, in my opinion, dishonest sales tactics. During the interaction, the technician commented on the crucifix I was wearing, acknowledged that I am a Christian, and mentioned that he was Jewish. The manner in which the comments were made left me feeling uncomfortable, disrespected, and as though my deeply held faith in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was being mocked. Regardless of his intention, religion had no place in this sales transaction, and the comments made an already distressing experience even more upsetting. I do not take kindly to any interaction that leaves me feeling ridiculed or disrespected because of my Christian faith. I refuse to do business with any company that treats customers this way. Please be extremely cautious. Read every receipt before leaving, verify every charge, and carefully look for any signs or policies that may—or may not—be clearly posted when you visit the establishment. Do not allow anyone to rush, confuse, or pressure you, and immediately dispute any amount you did not authorize. How sad that consumers now feel they must take photographs and videos simply to protect themselves while trying to enjoy what should be a peaceful, relaxing spa day. For me, this was not a spa experience. It was a SPA NIGHTMARE. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this business. SHAME ON YOU. BUYER BEWARE!

Fuyez!

Fuyez!
