Avoid if possible
Ordered some sandals through eBay. Didn't fit so returned via Royal Mail tracked as per instructions from seller. Tracked as delivered to company the next day. they do not seem to be able to trace them and are slow to answer messages. The published phone number is 'incorrect'. Still waiting for refund. Would not recommend.

Dreadful...
Sent me a different product to the one I ordered and repeatedly refused to replace this with the item I actually ordered. Utterly unhelpful customer service bordering on rude. Avoid.

Fantastic service
Alton Sports in Farnham was recommended by her podiatrist for my 86 yr old mother to find some supportive shoes that catered for her various foot issues. On entering we were immediately welcomed by Alex, who took his time establishing what we needed. He then very patiently brought trainers that completely satisfied the remit, removing and replacing insoles without any sales or time pressure, and empathising with my mother who has never worn trainers in her life!!! He was charming and helpful and a credit to himself and the store. We left with her first pair 🤣 and she wore them to leave. I would highly recommend this shop and the staff.

I walk every day in comfort now
I walk every day, around 4–4.5 miles over mixed terrain (more on holiday 10 plus miles), and had started experiencing pain in the toes of my left foot. I knew I needed some advice on what I could do to correct the problem. I visited Altonsports in Farnham after seeing some great reviews, and I couldn't have been happier with the service. Alex was brilliant. He listened carefully to what I was experiencing and gave me a variety of hiking shoes to try to give better support for my feet. I eventually opted for the Hoka Gore-Tex trail shoes. Alex was patient, friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. There was absolutely no sales pressure, just excellent advice from an all-round nice guy. I tried the shoes out today and the difference was incredible. I can now get back to walking the long distances I enjoy without the pain I was experiencing. Thanks so much, Alex.

If I could give more than 5 stars I…
If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Didn’t get the chaps name, but he happily spent an hour with me showing me more than half a dozen shoes to try . Granted it’s midweek but there was zero time pressure and happy for me to go back and forth so I could make the right decision. So rare these days to have an independent shop with a wide range of stock, shoes, clothes, and gear (everything from vests, to mobility, to lighting) Clearly the staff are very knowledgable and all runners themselves. Running kit isn’t cheap and so this really gives peace of mind over online shopping so for me very worth the trip over from Winchester. Honestly, this will be the only I will buy running gear in the future couldn't recommend enough
