Outage/malfunction refund is a lie

over 14 years ATT got consistently better; but there were many many problems along the way (literally). In the end I lost connection while in Laughlin Nevada for several weeks particularly my internationa; package disappeared; No calls to tech assistance nor visits to local Att offices (several) resulted in any resolution or help, much to the contrary. So, I refused to pay the international part of the bill; this was not accepted. So, I've been with Verizon ever since; quite a few years now (though Verizon did try to rip me off for the cost of a phone)

Horrible customer service

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally express my disappointment with AT&T and, specifically, the customer service I recently received at your Missouri City, Texas location near FM 1092. I have been a loyal AT&T customer for more than 25 years. After that many years of doing business with a company, I would expect to be treated with courtesy, respect, and appreciation. Unfortunately, my recent experience has left me feeling completely disregarded as a customer. Recently, my iPhone unexpectedly stopped working. Thankfully, because I had insurance, I was able to get a replacement phone for $110. However, since receiving the replacement, my monthly bill has increased by approximately $50. I made several attempts to contact customer service to understand why my bill had increased and to see if anything could be done, but I was unable to get the assistance I needed. I then went to the AT&T store in Missouri City near FM 1092. During a previous visit to that same location, I was fortunate to receive excellent assistance from a gentleman who was very kind and helpful. He specifically told me that I could return to the store and that someone there would assist me with obtaining a nurse discount. Based on that information, I returned to the store this morning. Unfortunately, my experience with an employee named Israel was completely different. Israel was extremely rude, dismissive, and unwilling to assist me. When I explained why I was there, he repeatedly told me, “We don’t do that here,” without making any meaningful effort to help me, explain my options, or direct me to someone who could assist me. His tone and overall demeanor made me feel as though I was an inconvenience rather than a customer who had been loyal to AT&T for over two decades. I understand that not every request can necessarily be handled at a particular store. However, there is absolutely no excuse for treating a customer disrespectfully. A simple explanation, a little courtesy, or even directing me to the appropriate department would have made a significant difference. I left the store extremely upset and disappointed. After 25 years of loyalty, it is incredibly frustrating to feel that AT&T does not value my business. Customer service should be about finding solutions and treating people with respect—not simply telling them, “We don’t do that here,” and sending them away. At this point, I am seriously considering taking my business to Verizon. I have remained with AT&T for more than 25 years, and I never expected that I would reach a point where I would seriously consider leaving. Unfortunately, the combination of my unexplained $50 monthly increase, my inability to get meaningful assistance from customer service, and the disrespectful treatment I received at the Missouri City location has brought me to that point. I am asking AT&T to please review my account, explain why my monthly bill increased by approximately $50 after my replacement phone was issued, and determine whether I qualify for the nurse discount I was told I could receive. I would also like this complaint regarding Israel’s conduct to be taken seriously and addressed appropriately. I have given AT&T 25 years of my business. I believe I deserve better than this. I look forward to receiving a response and, hopefully, a resolution that demonstrates that AT&T still values long-term customers. Sincerely, Pearl Jarrow 713-213-7402

They've given me hundreds of gray hairs

3 years ago I bought a Motorola Razr that crapped out mid screen. The associate told me I did not have insurance, which I thought I did, but told me again I didn't so I bought a S20. They also did not tell me that because I was still making payments on it that I would also be paying for an additonal line on that phone, so I had 2 lines. 1 for a broken Razr. It was a few months after noticing my autopay was an absurd amount did I realize this and after calling customer service, did an agent ask me why I didnt use my insurance to have the Razr replaced. This strongarmed me to pay off the phone immediately. My jaw dropped, and the rage induced within my heart took months of my life from me. The next problem is that this associate linked my S20 to the 2nd line, and kept the broken Razr to my primary installment plan, but kept my primary phone number on my S20. This caused a great deal of confusion to the agents I spoke to, to get my S20 set onto my initial installment plan, and totally jacked up my payment plans. Every single gosh darn week for 4 weeks, during my days off work, I had to spend over an hour on the phone dealing with that AI robot and agents to get things fixed because nothing ever did due to this malicious hiccup. Again, more and more gray hairs. The final straw was when I moved to Alaska and decided to transfer service to GCI. After going through the motions with GCI, ATT completely nuked my account after the request to transfer numbers to the new provider. Worst part is the request to unlock my phone from their network, it was denied because of an "outstanding balance." My balance was at $0.00. My current phone has been paid off for months. Because my account is nuked, I can no longer deep dive into my own account to see WTF is going . So when I try to pay directly with my account number, I am given an automatic message that payments cannot be accepted for ACCOUNTS THAT HAVE A $0.00 DOLLAR BALANCE. WTF. SO NOW I HAVE TO WAIT 48-72 ****ING HOURS TO REQUEST ANOTHER GOD ****ED UNLOCKING OF MY PHONE TO GET IT TRANSFERRED TO ANOTHER PROVIDER. I wish to the Gods, old and new, Good and Evil, for the absolute destruction of AT&T, to be reduced to smoldering ashes of unimaginable debt that no competitor would ever buy out. Never ever associate your business with ATT. They hate their customers, they hate everything. They probably hate themselves. I wish they would hate oxygen and deprive themselves of it. Spare yourself the stress I have, please, I do sincerely beg of you reading this from the bottom of my heart because I do genuinely care about your well-being, do not do business with ATT.
