Biblio.co.uk is a winner!
Biblio.co.uk (not .com or .uk) was the first used books site I discovered five years ago, when a friend gave me the gift of a token. It revolutionised my access to reading printed books. I diversified, and now check through half a dozen sites to see the most competitive offers. Today, again, Biblio.co.uk was the winner, with the temptingly titled "Roland Barthes by Roland Barthes" at under a fiver including postage. I sell books I don't want to keep on sites that keep readers happily resourced and recyclying.

I ordered a first edition of WB Yeats…
I ordered a first edition of WB Yeats poems for a close literary friend for his birthday. It cost 250GBP Lazarus aka Biblio sent the 7th edition and when I questioned it and asked for what I ordered they said they could not fulfill the order but to send back the book and they would refund! If I had I would not have had a present for the Bday. Between a rock and a hard place. So I gave it to my friend with an apology and evidence that I had ordered a first edition. Today on Etsy I noted the 8th edition can be bought for 39 euros. These people are not to be trusted and are deceitful and well "versed" in sharp practice Karma will prevail

I will never shop with Biblio again
I have now ordered from Biblio on several occasions. At least half the time items have either failed to be delivered for no apparent reason or been cancelled without explanation, leaving me no time to re-order when I needed items in a timely way. This just never happens in the same way with other companies. I was attracted to Biblio on account of them being a more ethical choice - but other ethical options exist and I will absolutely NEVER shop with them again - there is no excuse for this kind of service and they and the companies that sell through them don’t deserve to exist.
