I'm using it with the deal of Splice and like it
I'm using it with the deal of Splice. In the beginning ofc it took 3-4 days to get used to it. I used FL and Studio one before Bitwig. I got no problem works very well. Everything perfect. Just I wish there would be more updated and new tutorials for specific use cases and features more.

Awful to set / configure
Oh Dear! What a pain in the butt setting Bitwig up in Linux. I downloaded the trial, spent about 2 hours faffing to simply play midi files using my ketron SD90 midi interface and through my Audient iD4 audio interface. I even used Google AI which was surprisingly knowledgeable about the Bitwig app,and great when using screen shots etc, but no joy. What i don't understand is why on earth is there no straightforward function to simply import midi files, as well as drag n drop (which did load midifiles but couldn't get them to work through my gear) I'm sticking with my old and trusted CAKEWALK SONAR - it works fine in Linux

Disappointing customer service – referred to eBay instead of real help
I have been using Bitwig Studio for years and accidentally purchased the wrong license code. The code was never redeemed, and I contacted Bitwig directly to find a solution. I explicitly did **not** ask for a refund, but simply requested to have the amount credited towards the correct upgrade and to pay the price difference. The response from Bitwig was very disappointing: instead of offering a customer-friendly solution, I was told to resell the unused license code privately on Facebook or eBay. For me, this means a clear loss in value and, in my opinion, is not a professional way to treat a long-standing customer. I find it unfortunate that a company so focused on creativity and community shows no goodwill in such an understandable case. From a manufacturer, I would expect more flexibility in handling licenses – not sending customers off to the second-hand market.

My choice of DAW
I don't like ableton but really love bitwig. It is a completely different beast! Can't wait to see version 5. I just resubscribed which I dropped after 4.3 and now I'm back. I can't say I like subscription plan but it is understandable. Not a big company but the project is huge. The one big advantage of Bitwig is sandboxing. I have lots of plugins and sometimes one of them fails when I'm in the flow but don't worry, just restart the plugin and it works! Thank you Bitwig.
