I can't speak to the negative reviews posted, but if I could give Blurb more than 5 stars, I truly would. I had a 28-page standard landscape photobook printed as a gift for a dear friend, with very rich artwork, imagery and vector typeface uploaded from PDFs, and the finished book is exquisite. The quality of the layflat binding, the heavy stock pages printed, and color reproduction and the finishing details are all impeccable. Yes the shipping might be expensive. And yes, the book is more expensive than something you'll find at Snapfish or Shutterfly, but Blurb is ultra-premium by comparison, true desktop publishing. I am so glad I went with Blurb for printing this book, which will be a special keepsake for a dear friend's milestone birthday. No shade on Snapfish or Shutterfly, as I've used them before and was satisfied with their quality. But this book was different. Blurb is next level, and they delivered flawlessly.

I would not recommend Blurb for family photo books. It's very difficult to drag photos and have them fit into the layout that you choose. I gave up working on the first page. I was looking for a cheaper alternative to Shutterfly but would not recommend Blurb to anyone.

Blurb delivered exactly the product they advertised. The software had a learning curve, but it was intuitive enough that I didn't need tutorials. Manufacturing was fast—I had the book in about a week. The print quality matched the premium claim: colors were rich without being oversaturated, detail held up well, matte paper gave the images a sophisticated feel, and there were no unexpected printing artifacts or resolution issues. The only caveat is that a standard perfect-bound softcover doesn't lay flat, but that's a characteristic of the binding, not a manufacturing flaw. If you want a lay-flat book, you need to order the lay-flat product.

I had initial problems with a photo book I had submitted to Blurb and getting their customer service to respond to the issues. In the end, they came through to make everything peachy-keen and resolved the issues in question. I’m giving them 4/5 because they took so long to get back to me (two weeks) and need a more responsive customer support process. Other than that, no complaints.

Useless. Allegedly delivered my order BUT today haven't. Their fault/couriers fault, doesn't matter. Net result I don't have the product I paid £100-00 for!

Auch nicht für Geld. Unclaimed ist fair. Claimed gibt das Mikrofon — nicht den Radiergummi.
