Two months later
Two months later. No intention of fixing the very simple technicals problems. I think maybe two people work there to sell tags and answer emails pretending they 'are working on it'. How hard is it to figure out how to reset a password so I can access my account?????

Terrible company to work with
Customer service does not exist. I adopted a pet Dec 2025 and as part of the adoption process, I could enroll with ByteTag. I signed up for a life time membership, created an account and thought I was smooth sailing. Only after attempting to log into my acct did I learn that they not only didn’t recognize my email associated with my acct, it showed my pets tag number as already being registered… YES, by me. I raised the issue to them and was informed that they were aware of technical issues. I followed up for a month and they ghosted me. So it’s a known issue on their side that they choose to not resolve. Save your money and your frustration.

QR code wore off had been replaced by…
QR code wore off had been replaced by ByteTag once but 2nd time it occurred again. Need a better quality tag!

Buyer beware
My first email regarding the byte tag not working correctly was April 16th. I keep getting errors when I need to verify your email address. There is a link to contact us well I get an error with that too. I finally got them to answer an email and they were working on the problem. I paid full price for the product & only half of it works. Today is April 28th and it's still not working. Save your money buy a product that works.

QR code stops scanning and makes it useless
My dog has been wearing his ByteTag for almost three years now, and I’ve always just assumed it would work if he were lost. The other day, I was trying to show a friend how cool it was, and tried to scan the QR code on his tag, and it didn’t scan. I’ve been trying for days now… different lights, close up, far away, different camera settings… nothing. I have no idea how long it’s been NOT WORKING, but I’m pretty mad. Finding something different ASAP.
