Meet-and-greet service not provided as agreed

Meet-and-greet service not provided as agreed I booked an airport collection for two elderly relatives and gave very specific instructions that the driver should wait at arrivals with a board displaying the passengers’ names. I was assured this would happen. Instead, the driver told me he was at Costa and that I needed to direct the passengers to him. The board did not have their names on it, only the company name. I had also clearly explained that the passengers would not have mobile data and should be contacted by a normal phone call rather than WhatsApp. Despite that, WhatsApp was used. I ended up making and receiving eight calls over roughly two hours trying to coordinate the collection. I raised a complaint immediately and later followed up in writing. The response was slow and, in my view, failed to address the main issue. Clocktower refused to refund the fare because the journey was eventually completed, although they did offer to refund the separate £10 meet-and-greet charge. For me, that misses the point. I paid for a specific airport meet-and-greet arrangement for vulnerable elderly passengers, and those agreed arrangements were not followed. I would not use Clocktower Cars again for an important airport collection.

Used clockwise taķies this morning . Tried to pay on line .but would not let us .then.told my daughter who is vulnerable if she could not pay there and then the taxi driver would leave her there .. I have never known any taxi company to treat people like this . Disgusting.

Really shocking service

Really shocking service. Pre booked and pre paid for a service which didn’t show up, leaving two teenage girls on the side of a road for 45 minutes after midnight, in a rural area. When we called to ask where the car was, the operator repeatedly hung up rather than deal with the call, citing the car was on its way with no explanation for lateness. Zero customer service since, no explanation. Took the full payment, no apology, no discount or credit towards future services. NOTHING. I’ll never use Clock Tower again.

Avoid Clocktower Cars

I had a genuinely awful experience with Clocktower Cars and strongly advise anyone looking for a reliable, professional taxi service to look elsewhere. ### **The Pick-Up** * **Terrible Communication:** We were given zero instructions on where to meet the driver at the airport terminal. * **Late & Misleading:** The driver arrived **20 minutes late**. To make matters worse, their "live tracking" claimed the driver had arrived 15 minutes before they actually showed up. * **Unsafe Parking:** When the driver finally arrived, they were illegally parked on a double red line in a strict drop-off-only zone. ### **The Journey & Driver Behavior** * **Zero Customer Service:** The driver made no effort to get out, open the boot, or help us load our heavy luggage. * **Attempted Price Gouging:** Just one mile from our destination, we encountered roadworks. Rather than navigating the minor half-mile detour professionally, the driver demanded we pay extra on top of the agreed rate just to complete the trip. ### **The Resolution** Refusing to be extorted, we opted to get out and walk the remaining mile with our bags. Unbelievably, we were still forced to pay the **full fare** for an incomplete, disappointing journey. Worse so, this full fare was **more** than the original fare estimate, which is ridiculous considering we didn't even finish the journey. When I called Clocktower Cars directly to report this experience, the customer service team simply did not care and made zero effort to apologize or make things right. Save yourself the stress, money, and hassle—use literally any other company.
