Paid order never delivered, and zero emails ever arrived
Placed Gift Card Order #2178952 (28.04 EUR) on 26 Aug 2026. Payment went through their processor SpectroCoin and is confirmed on-chain. Two problems: 1. The order was never delivered despite full payment. 2. I have never received a single email from CoinGate — no order confirmation, no payment notification, nothing. Since gift card orders are only accessible through an emailed order link, I have no way to reach my own order. TXID: 10d61d841d28159c2b32fd71bac2ad7f52ec2fe4a19c0fb71aea3181fc664a70 Support has not responded. If your entire order-access system depends on email, that email has to actually work.

Be very careful when paying NordVPN through CoinGate
I used CoinGate because it was offered as a cryptocurrency payment method during the NordVPN checkout process. I paid 33.52 TRX (about $10.40). The funds left my wallet, but CoinGate later marked the order as “invalid due to compliance reasons.” NordVPN did not receive the payment and did not activate the subscription. When I tried to request a refund, CoinGate rejected my original TRON wallet address and asked me to provide another one, preferably a non-custodial wallet. After that, CoinGate required me to complete Live ID / full KYC verification just to continue the refund process. The most concerning part is that CoinGate support explicitly told me that even after completing KYC, there is no guarantee that the refund will be issued. Their support also confirmed that if I refuse KYC, the funds will remain suspended and the refund will no longer be available. I also contacted NordVPN several times because CoinGate was the payment provider offered through their checkout. NordVPN confirmed that they never received the funds, but ultimately refused to intervene with CoinGate from the merchant side. So the final result is: Money left my wallet. NordVPN subscription was not provided. CoinGate requires full identity verification for a $10 refund. And even after KYC, the refund is not guaranteed. I am posting this review so other customers understand the risk before choosing CoinGate, especially when paying for services such as NordVPN. I would strongly recommend using another payment method unless you are fully prepared to complete KYC and still accept the possibility that your refund may be denied.

Terrible support and payment handling — my order expired despite paying immediately
I had a terrible experience with CoinGate Gift Cards and their customer support. I paid 59.08 EUR in LTC immediately for my order. I have the transaction on the blockchain and screenshots proving that the payment was made. However, my order was never properly updated and eventually expired. Payment/order reference: 3f1fd51d-c442-45c4-bf59-a784a530e63a I contacted support because the order was urgent. The AI support repeatedly told me to wait 30 minutes. I also contacted their support by email, but initially received only a generic response saying: “Thanks for contacting us. Our team will get back to you as soon as we can.” By that point, several hours had already passed since I made the payment. Later, I received another generic AI-generated response from “CeeGee from CoinGate Gift Cards”, explaining that my order #2159570 was still pending because they had not received payment confirmation from SpectroCoin. I was again told to wait because their system checks payments every 30 minutes. I waited. After more than 24 hours, I contacted them again, and once again I received essentially the same generic response telling me to wait another hour or two. This is especially frustrating because the gift card was needed urgently that day, and CoinGate failed to deliver the service when I actually needed it. What makes the situation even worse is that they are now refusing to refund my money, despite the fact that I have proof of payment and the complete blockchain transaction history. The problem here is not simply a technical delay. The biggest issue is the extremely poor customer support. Instead of actually investigating the payment and resolving the problem, I was repeatedly given automated responses telling me to wait, even after many hours had passed. I have screenshots, emails, the order information, and the blockchain transaction available as evidence of what happened. I am posting this as a genuine customer complaint about my actual experience. I hope will allow the review to remain available and that it will not be removed simply because it is critical. Customers should be able to know how support handles situations like this. I paid immediately. The payment is verifiable on the blockchain. The order was never properly processed, the gift card was not delivered when I needed it, and I am now being refused a refund. Very disappointing experience and extremely poor customer support.
