Interesting science, poor salary, increasing bureaucracy. Good to collect some experience but no place to grow old at.
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich: Interesting scientific projects. Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich: Salary and benefits. Verbesserungsvorschläge: Provide more development opportunities and clearly communicate expectations for promotions. Whenever I raised the question, no clear answer could be provided making it very hard to focus in a particular direction. Pay your employees fairly if you want to reduce fluctuations and skill drain. Arbeitsatmosphäre: People try to help each other. Work-Life-Balance: Started out quite bad, at the end of my time it had progressed to not great but acceptable. Huge variations between groups. Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein: My personal opinion: the company pretends to care but recently chose an external investor supporting fossil energies. Karriere/Weiterbildung: Leadership positions are blocked, external trainings rarely happen. As a plus, I had the impression that internal training opportunities are slowly but steadily increasing. Vorgesetztenverhalten: Attempts to accommodate personal preferences were made within the given possibilities. Arbeitsbedingungen: My personal opinion: extensive controlling, every single working hour has to be booked on a project or task. You have to meet strict quotas. Gehalt/Sozialleistungen: My personal opinion: lots of work for little money. Merit talks were pointless. Gleichberechtigung: My personal opinion: leadership roles and promotions are mostly filled based on personal connections whereas skill and suitability is not the deciding factor. Interessante Aufgaben: Vast array of interesting biopharmaceutical projects.

Kollege, sind echt super. Es macht jeden Tag Spaß in die Arbeit zu gehen. Leider zahlt Coriolis unterirdisch schlecht
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich: Die Kollegen Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich: Bezahlung und umgang mit den Mitarbeitern im Office Verbesserungsvorschläge: Faire Löhne, bessere Weiterbildung für alle und nicht nur wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiter Karriere/Weiterbildung: In 5 Jahren nicht eine Schulung duch externe Gehalt/Sozialleistungen: Keine Weiterbildung

Much work for small money
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich: Fruits and coffee for free Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich: Too much work or not enough work A lot of inefficient processes without possibility to improve Arbeitsatmosphäre: Atmosphere with colleagues is fine, but leadership culture is absolutely intransparent and you always need to justify your work. Image: Image towards externally is very good but not showing the truth Work-Life-Balance: You are always working much more than contractually agreed. There is time tracking and you need to monitor precisely how much time you spent on which project, however no compensation for overtime. In addition, time budget for projects is always insufficient and you need to justify internally as well as externally towards clients why you took so long for the activities. Karriere/Weiterbildung: Not possible as there is no time and money for seminars and management positions are blocked. Gehalt/Sozialleistungen: In comparison to other companies definitely in the lower range. Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein: Talking a lot about sustainability but not living it. Umgang mit älteren Kollegen: Very young team. Vorgesetztenverhalten: Intransparent and inconsequent behaviour. There are people in leadership functions who have been promoted over the years from a scientist position without having any leadership personality or any training. They remained scientists, overwhelmed with leadership duties. Over decades there is no fluctuation as these people will never get a comparable job outside of Coriolis which makes process efficiency and real leadership difficult. Beside this there are family members in management functions, who are definitely not suitable for the role. This is kind of frustrating as processes are clearly complicated and inefficient but you are continuously told that this cannot be changed. Arbeitsbedingungen: Good equipment. Kommunikation: Communication especially with management is difficult as no clear guidance is given and expectations remain unclear. Gleichberechtigung: I do feel different treatment and especially payment of colleagues, see comment above about family members in management functions. Interessante Aufgaben: Interesting projects, but too much or not enough work. People are often bored out and awaiting the next project coming in and when working on projects they are working continuously overtime.

A good place to work, but presumably no place to grow old
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich: Overall nice atmosphere among colleagues, you can chat with superiors and CEOs anytime. Family friendly customization of working hours possible. Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich: Working hours are not recorded, so basically everyone works more than agreed in the working contract (and there's no extra compensation). Project time is always limited and calculated too short-looked. Even if people do a good job and work effectively, the budget's not sufficient. Reassuring clients counts more than easing an employee's stress and frustration level. External training and skill enhancement is only granted to few people, that seems unfair. Arbeitsatmosphäre: There are various endeavors to create a good and harmonical work environment Work-Life-Balance: Depends on your tasks, but generally works fine for people with family. Karriere/Weiterbildung: Was promised during hiring period, but since then just "No's" - "No budget", "Not recommended", "Not suitable for your position". To keep up with the market and to keep your staff - invest into them! Internal trainings are not considered here. Gehalt/Sozialleistungen: Fine for me, but overall very intransparent who earns what. Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein: Could be worse, could be better... Kollegenzusammenhalt: Within the teams there's good team spirit. Vorgesetztenverhalten: Nothing to complain about, but sometime more support would be appreciated. Arbeitsbedingungen: Could be worse, could be better... Kommunikation: Some units do not realize their responsibility to respond to other (lower in hierarchy) units...that creates a certain uneasiness. Interessante Aufgaben: Adequate...
