J'aurai du regarder truspilot

J'aurai du regarder truspilot. Marketing impeccable sur instagram! Mais.... j'achète une robe, trop large qui ne me va pas. Je demande donc un remboursement comme cela se fait...mais seul un echange est possible. L'entreprise est en Australie. J'insiste....il communique sur des valeurs humaines, et écologiques. Je leur part d'Aller retour du paquet entre France/ Australie en passant par l'Inde, comme franchement pas écologique, mais ça n'est pas leur problème. J'ai donc renvoyé la robe à mes frais (30€ environ), il m'en on renvoyait une autre assez joli, mais finalement très chere pour ce qu'elle est. Je ne recommande donc pas ce site, vous etes rapidement piégé, et remboursement impossible

Really Frustrating and Disappointing

I have two item from DOI and I really like the fabric and quality of each. The third item I purchased, after considering the previous items were size small and the size recommendation from the site, was exceptionally large. I paid to return the item for a credit. I was advised of a credit. This was March 2026. Since then with much advertising of new stock… nothing absolutely nothing has appeared in my size. I did also pre order my size in several items so I could be notified … again nothing. I have emailed to ask why. I have emailed to request a refund due to not having my size available for 5 months … nothing. I am frustrated and disappointed. What a waste😔

Hi Grace Thank you for taking the time to provide your review. I'm very sorry to hear you haven't been able to place a new order using your store credit since your previous order. We have restocked a number of garments in size M since your received your store credit, however I can absolutely appreciate these may not have been items you were interested in. Our Sundresses are currently in production; however please note we aren't certain of exact restock times. As our garments are handcrafted in India, we don't place production deadlines on our artisans. Being a slow fashion label means our batches are made one at a time, and the traditional processed of handblock and handscreen printing so take some time. This ensures our artisans can work comfortably without pressure, as well as ensuring more care is put into crafting each garment individually. For this reason we don't take pre-orders, however I can see you have subscribed to be emailed once we have restocked. I'm very sorry I can't see correspondence from you requesting a refund. I would not advise buying anything from…

I would not advise buying anything from Daughters of India when you are based in Europe. Th initiative is nice, the excecution not so much. They charge for shipping and returns. No hub in Europe so expensive returns to Australia at cost of client. They do not comply with withdrawal rules and regulations and only offer a store credit, no refund, if you send countless e-mails and have time to loose they do offer a refund. The price of the products does not match the service they provide.

Our standard return policy, which is outlined at the footer or our website as well as on each individual product page, offers returns for store credit gift card. Our standard return policy was the initial information we provided to you, following your enquiry regarding our return policy. Our returns policy adheres to the Australian Consumer Law, which is where we are based; however we are happy to make exceptions when requested (especially for our EU customers, where there may be different requirements). We are sorry your return postage was expensive. While we do offer free or subsidised outbound shipping, unfortunately it isn't financially possible for us to cover the cost of return shipping for European orders. By way of an overview, there are many behind-the-scenes costs that come with running a small business internationally — from duties and shipping to packaging and everyday operations. We work had to ensure that every person involved in the process — from the dyers and printers to the tailors and quality control team — is paid well above industry average, with consistent work, safe conditions, and benefits they often wouldn’t otherwise receive. We choose to prioritise quality over quantity, and to run a business that supports livelihoods and culture over mass production and fast fashion margins. We completely respect that the price point and cost of returning shipping from Europe may mean purchasing through us isn't for everyone, however, the intention and labour behind each piece is immense, and we hope this can be felt in every piece. Don't buy.

I purchased the Pari Maxi dress and was very disappointed. The pictures don't really show what this dress is like and when providing a real honest review, I found that they tailor their reviews on the website. They do not post any negative ones. Don't trust the reviews on their site and don't trust the photos. The returns policy is also rubbish. Won't be buying again.

The Pari Maxi Dress is designed with a wrap front that ties at the natural waist, although the exact placement can vary depending on an individual’s proportions and how the dress is tied. Our product photography shows the wrap ties sitting at the waist and the pockets positioned on the hips, which reflects the intended design of the garment. When you raised concerns about the fit, our Customer Care Team offered to investigate further and asked you to provide photographs of the dress, including a photo of you wearing it if you were comfortable doing so. As our garments are individually handcrafted, we wanted to check whether the construction of your particular dress was as intended. We have not yet received the requested photographs. Regarding your review, we do not intentionally suppress negative feedback. Reviews submitted through our review platform may be subject to moderation, particularly where the content raises concerns that require investigation or follow-up. We explained this to you and invited you to provide the additional information so we could look into your concerns further. In relation to returns, our standard policy for eligible full-priced items is a store credit gift card. However, after discussing your concerns, we offered to make an exception and provide a refund to your original payment method, less the return label fee. This allows customers to exchange for another size or choose an alternative design. Our garments are individually handcrafted using traditional techniques, and slight variations in colour, print and texture are a natural part of this process. We understand that handmade pieces may not suit everyone’s expectations, but this does not mean the garments are of poor quality.
