Customer service non existent
Store was a real mess in and out. Looking for a tent. Display models filthy and full of dirty leaves. Hardly any stock in store. Bought tent. Was a problem with it as missing a part. Impossible to get any customer service. Forced to use a whats app chat but no one answered for days. Eventually had to drive the 80 mile trip to the store. I will not buy again from a place with this lack of customer service. Be wary particularly if buying anything expensive.

I would like to say a few words about your company — a company that does not keep its word, a company that has lost its honor, and one that is completely indifferent to its customers. For 16 days, you have not bothered to fulfill your obligations regarding the delivery of my goods Order no. GB5T21VMH4KM , nor do you intend to return my money. You have no future with an approach like this. You offered me a so-called gift of 5 pounds, but I see this merely as a scheme to extract even more money from a customer. A company that values its name would have either shipped the exact same item again while figuring out later who was at fault with the delivery, or simply refunded the money. This is not characteristic of your company; you haven't grown up to that level yet and never will reach those heights. I waited a long time for real actions from you, but your promises are nothing more than petty lies. I will definitely share your attitude toward customers and how you resolve issues across all possible authorities and social media. Oleksandr Domin

I wish I had read these reviews before ordering from Decathlon. I ordered a set of pétanque boules which arrived on the date stated. I changed my mind about the set and returned them the same day and waited for my refund. Apparently my return arrived at the warehouse and is due to be processed. That was early August! Communication only seems possible via WhatsApp where their strap line is ‘We appreciate your patience and understanding’. Telephone slots are never available and email responses, you guessed it ‘ We appreciate your patience and understanding. These were competition boules £69.99 an expensive error on my part using Decathlon.
