Horrible support.
A Great Simulator Ruined by Terrible Support and Busted Updates DCS is a great game when it actually works, but the way updates are handled and the lack of helpful customer support make it incredibly frustrating to deal with. After a long 8-hour shift at work, I was excited to jump online and start a new flight campaign with a friend. Instead, my entire evening was wasted because a new game update completely broke the virtual reality mode. Instead of the VR screen centering normally like it always does, the entire view was heavily offset, crushing the display into two small squares stuck way up in the top-left corner of my vision. If the screen coordinates had just aligned properly, the game would have worked fine, but the update completely threw off the alignment. The worst part of this experience was the customer support team. I spent hours of my free time doing every troubleshooting step possible, only for support to lazily brush it off and tell me it was a "local problem" on my computer rather than a glitch in their game. To prove it wasn't an issue on my end, I did everything by the book: Completely cleared out the game's temporary files and cache. Removed all custom add-ons and settings to make sure the game was completely stock. Fully updated my computer's graphics drivers. Used the official repair tool to completely reinstall the game's core files straight from their servers. Even with a completely clean, factory-standard reinstall, the VR alignment remained completely broken. When I sent the support team a detailed message proving that I had ruled out every single problem on my computer, their actual response was a lazy, two-letter reply: "OK." It is deeply disappointing to see a great simulator backed by a support team that refuses to read basic details, immediately blames the customer's PC, and brushes off legitimate complaints. Eagle Dynamics needs to seriously test their game updates before releasing them and train their support staff to actually help people.

Ce jeu est selon moi tout simplement détestable. On nous promet monts et merveilles, mais une fois lancé, on découvre les restes d’un repas dévoré par des voraces, façon orques devant de la chair ou Gollum devant du poisson (et non du poison, même si c’est ce que le jeu ressemble à servir). Je déconseille fortement de télécharger ce jeu: vous allez faire travailler votre SSD pour rien, gaspiller près de 300 Go d’internet, et pour le bien de vos yeux comme de la planète, évitez-vous ça. Côté gameplay, les touches sont tellement mal foutues que je n’ai même pas réussi à allumer le moteur de l’avion. Et si vous pensez que ce n’est pas un critère suffisant pour éliminer le jeu, sachez que deux studios existaient bien avant et ont déjà fait ce que ce jeu tente de copier… en mieux. Wargaming et Gaijin proposent exactement ce que vous cherchez: -du côté de Wargaming, un style arcade, rapide, compétitif (World of Tanks, World of Warplanes) -du côté de Gaijin, de l’immersion, du réalisme, un univers de passionnés où chaque action fonctionne comme une horlogerie (War Thunder) En plus, War Thunder propose trois modes: arcade pour du fun immédiat, réaliste pour exploiter chaque avantage et défaut du véhicule, et simulateur pour les puristes. Je rajoute qu’AMD Adrenalin, l’application essentielle pour optimiser ma carte graphique et mon processeur, ne détecte même pas le jeu, même en ajout manuel. Donc impossible d’optimiser quoi que ce soit. Les graphismes du launcher m’ont fait peur, mais j’ai quand même tenté l’expérience jusqu’au bout pour confirmer mes doutes. Résultat: si vous voulez de meilleurs graphismes, Minecraft est largement au-dessus. Les développeurs ont tenté de copier War Thunder et World of Tanks, mais ils n’ont réussi ni le gameplay, ni les graphismes. J’ai même cru voir un flashbang en arrivant en vue cockpit.

modules remain broken and unfixed for years after release. The F16 RWR has been bugged for years and years and if you bring it up = ignored. They just want you to buy another map or module. Now the razbam thing? TERRIBLE company

Supporting themselves not the community
I had purchased quite a few DLC for DCS a while ago. Real life got in the way and i didn't have time to fly. I recently reinstalled and was keen to Use some of my free time to learn some of the systems in the aircraft ive purchased. I was shocked to find that the aircraft were showing in my account but not in game. I reached out to support and they were useless no offer of help just an it is what is is attitude and a bunch of terrible excuses as to why the aircraft i paid for cant be used anymore or have completely been removed from the game. No attempt to offer a goodwill gesture or try and rectify the issue. Just money grabbing tactics from a company that seems to pride themselves on Terrible customer support.
