DMDE Express monthly plan is a scam

I'm not allowed to share the address here, but support already saw my client's email. They claimed the key was fine, but it’s still broken, so they clearly didn't test it. Her message was sent yesterday and starts with 'patty'. If you’re not a robot, let me be clear: I paid for the license and it did work. I even paid for the upgrade to the Standard version, and up to now I still can’t use the program because it only shows the message that the license is invalid. Apparently, that must be all my fault. If you want this review to improve, refund the money I spent on the upgrade and leave me only with an Express license that actually works. And here’s the absurd part: support has not shown up to fix the problem with my license that still doesn’t work, but when it came to answering a complaint, they rushed in immediately. DMDE Express monthly plan is a scam. The software showed me 770GB of recoverable data, but after paying for the monthly license it only let me pull about 35GB and then pretended I had just 10.9GB left. The monthly Express hides critical limits: max 4,000 files per operation, no full folders, no bulk recovery. None of this was explained before paying. When a company sells you a monthly plan but hides the fact that it’s basically useless for large volumes, that’s not transparency — that’s a scam. Don’t waste your money on the monthly Express, it’s just a trap to push you into buying the Standard.

Without this verification, it is not possible to proceed. At the same time, the behavior described (file limits, etc.) corresponds to the software running in free mode, and the “invalid license” message after an upgrade is typically caused by using an outdated key or incomplete activation. These issues are usually straightforward to resolve once the correct license is confirmed. DMDE recovered intact Apple Photos Library

I stored my Photos Library on a SanDisk 2TB Extreme Portable drive and have not opted for iCloud phone back up. The disk would not mount, I tried DiskDrill (recommended by ChatGPT), the GUI was simple and I was able to see that it was only able to recover individual files visible in a "Preview" pane. But, after starting the recovery scan, it told me that if I wanted to continue with the recovery I would need the paid version and it was expensive, almost £80. I went back to Chat GPT and looked for advice on alternatives, DMDE was recommended (but make sure you get the correct one, there is also a "Dmde" listing). In short, although there isn't a preview feature, the software wasn't that difficult to install or use. And after some time it recovered a working Apple Photos library. Very impressive, as it had identified some errors, which I just told it to ignore. Despite the errors, it recovered a working library file (103GB) and for just over £15. I recommend giving DMDE a try, based on this very positive experience.

Perfekt!

Wo andere Programme nach stundenlangem scannen, nichts wiederherstellen können, braucht DMDE nur wenige Stunden um die Daten meiner gelöschten Partition wiederherzustellen. Besonderen Dank an den Entwickler und Software sofort gekauft, obwohl mir die Freevariante ausgereicht hätte!

Suffered $MFT & $MFTMirr failure on both 16TB primary and 16TB backup drive during a sync. OS was unable to access the drives. I felt defeated since I had taken steps to eliminate a single point of failure. The software seems complex, but is easy to adapt to and learn, the help files provide a cornucopia of information. If the files name has been lost, you can search by size (if known) of files, filter and narrow down search results and recover those, then examine the file, either by opening it or comparing hashes. In my case, the $MFT corruption was distinctly different enough across both drives; that deep scans produced enough results for me to recover nearly 95% of my data. So many memories, projects, rare disc backups, the list goes . Still recovering data and reorganizing it, but just glad to have most of it. Thank you DMDE!
