Positive Customer Service, But the Products Weren’t for Me
I initially left a very negative review and wanted to provide an update after completing the return process. To be fair, although the return process was a bit stressful and I was concerned after reading so many negative reviews online, the refund was processed successfully in the end and the customer service proved to be reliable and responsive. In my opinion, the quality is not comparable to the silk pieces I own from reliable brands. The fabric is much shinier and lacks the natural wrinkling that I would normally expect from silk. Although these pyjamas are less expensive, they are simply not for me. Unfortunately, the non-refundable items will go unused, as I still have doubts about whether they are truly made from 100% silk. After performing a simple wet test, the fabric did not develop the slightly rough, tacky texture that silk often exhibits when damp. I also found the briefs to be far more stretchy than I would normally expect from pure silk. I appreciate that the company honoured the refund and handled my case professionally. However, I would encourage potential buyers to read both positive and negative reviews and make their own judgment before ordering.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend ElleSilk. I purchased a black robe advertised as premium 100% Grade 6A, 22 Momme Mulberry Silk as part of Order #1000029599. I have owned and cared for silk garments for many years and am very familiar with how quality silk should feel, behave, and respond to proper care. The robe appeared acceptable when it arrived, although I personally felt that the fabric was thinner than I expected for a garment marketed as premium 22 Momme silk. I wore the robe once and then hand washed it exactly according to the care instructions. I used cold water and a gentle detergent specifically formulated for silk and delicate fabrics. No machine washing, harsh detergents, bleach, or improper treatment were involved. After this single careful wash, the robe developed significant puckering, distortion, and an uneven texture. I documented the condition with photographs and contacted customer service. In my opinion, the robe did not perform as I would expect a premium Grade 6A, 22 Momme Mulberry Silk garment to perform after one careful hand wash. While I cannot verify the exact composition or grade of the fabric, the quality and durability I experienced were far below my expectations based on the product description. What disappointed me most was not only the condition of the robe but also the company’s response. I provided photographs and a detailed explanation of how the garment had been cared for. However, my refund request was denied on the basis that the issue became apparent only after the robe had been worn and washed. The two pajama sets included in my order were never worn or washed, and I did not request a refund for them. My complaint concerned only the black robe and its performance after normal use and proper care. Order #1000029599

Truly Impressive Quality!
