Chaotic and poorly structured website
The website is chaotic, badly structured and often unpredictable. I have used this website for 4 months, and nearly each time there is a problem blocking me. Some days ago I booked a lesson and paid for it. Today I clicked on the lesson link, but a screen says I still have to book a lesson in spite of the teacher's confirmation. I had a booked lesson and had paid for it, but was totally unable to start my lesson. If you compare this website to Italki or other similar websites, this website is programmed in a very unserious and sloppy way. It must have been programmed by the cheapest programmers available. Each time I log onto it, I find bugs, inconsistencies or blocking problems. I would recommend everyone to stay away from it. Certainly if you are very serious about language learning.

Please don't waste your money and time on this fraud website. seems many techers not real, I paid for a trial, teacher cancelled my session and after almost 3 months, they dont refund my money ....many times I contacted customer service ... zero HELP...... XXXXXX STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLATFORM XXXXXXXX

Tried browsing for teachers, seems like the website won't let me go past the first page without using their "AI". I just want to browse teacher's profiles and decide myself. No "AI" nonsense needed. They never work.

I wouldn’t recommend this platform to…
I wouldn’t recommend this platform to qualified and experienced teachers who are just starting out on the site. Unless you dedicate yourself to it full-time, it simply isn’t worth it. They charge very high commission fees, limit the number of hours you can teach, and do not allow you to set a rate that properly reflects your qualifications, experience, or the true value of your classes. I tried it for a month and taught more than 100 classes, yet I earned less than €500. That does not even come close to the minimum wage. On other platforms, I can usually earn the same amount by teaching only around 20 classes. I find this particularly disappointing because these conditions ultimately affect students as well. Many teachers who join the platform end up leaving because the restrictions and low earnings make it unsustainable, meaning that students may lose teachers they like or struggle to find someone available long-term. From what other teachers have told me, many of those who continue working successfully on the platform joined when there were fewer restrictions. As a result, they are still able to charge rates that make the platform’s high commission fees more manageable. New teachers, however, do not seem to have the same opportunity. It is a real shame because the platform has many potential students, but the current working conditions and pay make it very difficult for new teachers to stay.

Trash company. I worked here as an English teacher for a year. They took a lot of my income as their commission. They used me and even my students for more money. And They are hella racist. After one year of working here, although they were cutting off my income, I cared a lot about my account and students. I worked hard to build my account, and helping my students, however the company decided that they don't wanna work with Iranians anymore because of war, and suspended me. They didn't even bother to inform me that I was suspended, I realized that after one of my students told me that she can't buy packages from me. First they said there is something wrong with my ip, after two weeks of saying nothing, and no reasons for suspending me, they removed my account from the teachers' listing along with all other Iranian teachers. They said they don't wanna work with Iranians because of the payment rules, and restrictions, although they gave me a whole different reason about IP in the beginning for suspending me. No matter what I said, they didn't read, they sent trashy copy pasted replies to me. All my effort, all the time I had spent here, was for nothing, they used me, and then they spat me out. They would reply to teachers from other countries in minutes, but they replied to me in days. If this isn't racism, what is? Some time before, when Ukraine was in war with Russia, Preply said to all of the Ukrainian teachers in their company that they won't get commission from them to help them, because they were victims of war, on the other hand Amazing talker kicks out their teachers when something similar happens. I wrote this for you to know, choose the company wisely. I will make sure that everyone will know about this. P.S. the company’s reply is the same copy pasted thing they sent to all of us. They say it’s not about the nationality, but they removed the whole Iranian nationality option from the website, they have even removed the Iranian teachers who are not residing in Iran. They send long replies full of nothing, making the work of thousands of teachers go to nothing. We shouldn’t have trusted this company in the first place.
