Brilliant

Brilliant, ordered a vw scirocco digital dash for my partner. Easy instal for a complete novice like me, and when I did encounter a problem ( the auth code wasn't registering) ant was quick to help. Would recommend this site to all my friends wanting an upgrade. Already been asked for the like 4 times

Avoid Everest VW — faulty workmanship caused lasting damage, then they went silent We ordered a digital dashboard for a Volkswagen T5. It arrived in a box that DPD had clearly had to repack, and the unit itself was in an unacceptable state on arrival given the price paid. I contacted Everest VW on my father's behalf. They admitted it was an unusual issue and offered a free fitting or replacement. I had already arranged a certified VW specialist mechanic with a proven track record on these vans, so we went ahead with the fitting. While we were on site, we were also told the van's battery had died — despite it being barely a year old, fitted by the previous owner in December 2024. Over 60 miles from home, we had no real choice but to buy a replacement on the spot. On the drive home, serious faults appeared immediately: warning lights, a recurring spark plug fault requiring repeated restarts, and a loss of power that meant the van couldn't get up hills. I didn't assume Everest VW was at fault initially and took it straight to my mechanic. My mechanic's investigation found the wiring loom behind the dash had been compressed, sending incorrect signals to the ECU. I never touched that area — Everest VW was the only party to access it — so this is squarely down to their workmanship, and my mechanic has put this in writing in a formal report. On top of that, the "faulty" battery they replaced tested as fully functional once checked independently. Both faults were unnecessary, and both were caused by their work. I tried to resolve this directly and reasonably. Everest VW asked me to email instead of dealing with it by phone, then simply stopped responding to emails and calls altogether. I had to escalate through PayPal, who issued a partial refund. They wanted the item returned for a full refund, but given it had caused damage I was not willing to remove it from the van and risk further issues. Do not use Everest VW for fitting work. Between the substandard workmanship, the damage caused, the unnecessary battery replacement, and their refusal to engage once a fault was identified, this was a costly and stressful experience that should have been straightforward.

I requested images, none were sent, I responded quickly and had a long phone conversation saying if It could be justified beyond doubt for me to see, I would most certainly cover it. I'm now less sure why this 1 star review is now being doubled down upon, and would class this as defamatory and harassment trolling. 'Claiming' a dead battery. .You drove 1 hr, the ignition was on for 5 mins, the voltage read critically below DoD for any AGM battery. I scanned VCDS and confirmed terminal 15 was reading below 10V, NOCO smart start was cycling and not accepting any options to initialise. Curious what I have to gain for a 1hr round trip and removing and fitting the new free of charge. Not like I had a battery marked up ready to go here. I went out of my way to help where I could, consider, it's wholly possible that the pinch happened under anyone's watch and sat pinched since an owner before yourself unless you've owned it 15 odd years, oh since 2024! In this scenario as just one of many.. I then revisit, move and disturb your harness to extend with my own harness which I might add is designed for the minimum possibility of the pinch you had diagnosed, I have spare harnesses! Free! £60 for a new harness?crimp & heat shrink 60p! battery was recovered, great.. put it back in and save the other, didn't see another option? Next, ommiting the battery situation, not of my making but certainly supported, I fitted the unit for free as offered to save you from more inconvenience of delay seeing as DPD seemed to fully mangle a very well packed delivery, it looked like the same mangling machine applied the DPD secured tape with help from the guard dog... agreed.. your auto tech charged 180.. my standard fitting fee is close to 250, scanning, free lifts, an hour on battery checke and replacements.. I'm out of pocket by this point to put right a DPD scappage which I took straight back and wrote off at my own cost. All I asked for was photographic evidence to confirm this and then I could proceed to validate and indeed cover costs if In agreement.. I've just looked back. I have a 23rd December (on my birthday) report of the poor DPD damages which reads more a hint that I've sent you a refurbished unit! "Good afternoon, I tried to call but received no answer. Your WhatsApp business link appears dead and live chat appears to not be 'live'. I am therefore emailing as below. I am disappointed with what has occurred on this occasion, as I can see high ratings on VW forums but I am not satisfied that I have had a high-rated experience in this case. The item arrived today, as per DPD emails. However, when it arrived, it was covered in 'repackaged by DPD with care' tape, with what appears to be a black bag over it with two of the four corners of the box exposed. I am not suggesting this is how you packed it, but it appears to have been unboxed as the box cracked or was dropped by them, and then half-heartedly re-sealed by them. The item was immediately unpacked as this suggests that it is not in great condition. The item itself did not appear brand new; the label on the back for example is slightly peeled, and the screen appears to have some marks/fingerprints. I am not saying that you have sent me a used item, but I am suggesting that it appears to have been handled by DPD or unsealed prior to my receipt. I am unsure if it is damaged. It has a HDMI lead on the back, but I have spoken to my VW mechanic and he said that doesn't actually work in a plug-and-play sense. He has advised that it will need programming to ensure full functionality which he is not able to do until after Christmas. I want you just to understand that I won't be able to check it until after Christmas, and am therefore unsure as to whether there is any damage and will not be able to verify this until it has been fitted" Next email was an invoice dated 6 Feb, emailed to me; 11th March, 3 months to find CAN msg short.. takes me 5 mins on VCDS & V500 pro oscilloscope.
