1 Star – A costly lesson learned I invested in the PointPay ICO several years ago because I believed in the project and its long-term vision. Unfortunately, my experience has been nothing but disappointing. The ICO itself left a bad taste, as the pre-sale price appeared to be heavily inflated. When the token launched, the price immediately dropped below what many early investors had paid, meaning early supporters were at a loss from day one. Since then, I’ve had repeated issues accessing my account. On multiple occasions my funds have been locked because PointPay required updated KYC verification. My biggest frustration is that I never received any email or text notifications warning me that my account would be restricted if I didn’t complete another KYC update. I haven’t logged into my account for over a year, and when I recently tried to access it again, I found my account blocked once more. After years of dealing with the same problems, I simply don’t have the energy to go through another lengthy back-and-forth with support just to access my own funds. At this point, I’ve written the investment off as an expensive lesson. What concerns me most is that after reading other customer reviews, my experience doesn’t appear to be unique. There are numerous reports from users describing blocked accounts, repeated KYC issues and difficulties accessing their funds. That lack of confidence is enough for me to walk away permanently. Based on my own experience, I cannot recommend PointPay. I sincerely hope they improve their communication, account management process and treatment of long-term investors, but unfortunately my experience has been overwhelmingly negative.
