I bought the £16.99 monthly…

I bought the £16.99 monthly subscription to look into my friends family. I cancelled after a month and yet money continuously came out of my account for the next few months. I eventually rang them and was told it was a contract I was tied into for a year in extremely small print. I then had to pay an extra £35 to get out of the contract with no refund. Do not trust these scammers.

From the information you’ve provided, it appears this was the subscription you held. This option allows customers to commit to a 12-month subscription term without having to pay the full annual cost upfront, providing the flexibility of making monthly payments instead. We understand that circumstances can change, which is why we also offer the option to end the subscription before the 12-month term selected is complete, subject to the applicable early termination fee. By cancelling automatic renewal, you would have ensured that no further payments would have been taken at the end of your 12-month term. DON'T GO NEAR THIS COMPANY!

I am only writing this in the hope that it will save some other mug falling for the trap I did. I can see from countless other 1* reviews that it's a common problem; trying the free trial and then having to pay £16.99 a month for a service you've cancelled and have not/do not use. I was unable to cancel on the last day of the trial as we were travelling but as the blurb said "cancel any time" I decided to keep it for another month to see if it was useful. When I realised it wasn't and cancelled the plan, I found it was a FIXED ANNUAL CONTRACT, which is in the VERY small print! I'm absolutely gutted as I'm on a very small pension and can ill afford to be scammed out of £17 a month. I thinking it's appalling in this day and age, when every other subscription offer from other companies allows you to literally cancel any time, thereby only paying for what you use. Shame on you!

When selecting this subscription, it showed that it was a 12 month commitment at a lower price of £16.99 instead of the normal £24.49 price point. Extra terms and conditions had to be accepted in order to make a payment for this particular agreement. Don't think you can find everything on this site but it also gives access to info. that no-one else has. Particularly like the newspapers feature. Can dip in and out of subscription easily.

I have had an excellent telephone…

I have had an excellent telephone contact with Marion, personel of FMP. She is very proffessional, humble, listening to me and understanding my issue. She is an Excellent person to have contact with customers. I am a senior citizen and have been a FMP member for many years. Marion helped me. 10 points of 10 points. Thank you Marion.
