Today, Wednesday, June 24, 2026, a security guard stopped my son to search his bag while I was walking right behind him. I asked the guard why he suspected my son of being a thief; it made me feel terrible—as if we were being looked down upon—especially since my son hadn't taken or stolen anything at all. He was simply helping me carry a bag containing food. I felt humiliated treated like a robber when he searched Not found Nothing!Who is going to take responsibility for this? Can you reprimand your staff for going too far? More importantly, my son has autism, and we are regular customers here; yet today, we were treated like thieves, and everyone was staring at us. We was so embarrassed 😞ps this gonna last time for visit going to comic book in town better no rude costumes service like this shop!warn for everyone if you feel treat Not like humans being with this place!

Was excited to visit as I had heard…
Was excited to visit as I had heard good things about this place, unfortunately the shop was messy, chewing gum on the floor, dust on the toys and the heavy metal music was so loud I could hardly hear myself think. I asked someone sitting behind the counter if they had some comics in stock, he didnt even look at me when telling they didn’t have them in stock. I won’t be back.

THIS IS FORBIDDEN PLANET INTERNATIONAL NOT THE FORBIDDEN PLANET WITH STORES IN ENGLAND, ONLINE WEBSITE AND HAVE A ROCKET LOGO. Visited the Edinburgh store after the other Forbidden Planet (with the rocket logo) sent an email saying a pr-order has a release date change. FPI Edinburgh and ever other comic shop had the book. Such a shame this Forbidden Planet gets tarnished because of the others bad service!

Forbidden Planet Sheffield - Thieves, Rude and Insulting to Customers
I was in Sheffield at the weekend before going to a concert in the evening. Bought a hardcover which was supposed to be reduced to £12.49 and when checking my bank statement they have charged me £24.99. They have been extremely obstructive when I rang them this morning. It is over 80 miles for me to go back and it would take me 2 or 3 hours. It would cost almost as much as the refund amount to get there. I am unlikely to be in Sheffield again until some time next year. I have spent thousands of pounds with them in the past as I used to have a weekly standing order with them but they are being difficult when this was their mistake. I have part of my foot amputated and an open wound on that foot at the moment so I don’t want an unnecessary journey. I have multiple health concerns and their attitude this morning has had an adverse impact on my health. Avoid Forbidden Planet Sheffield!

Time and time again I place an order…
Time and time again I place an order for a special, for me anyway, signed comic and time and time again I receive an apology stating unable to complete order as item is not available etc. I then check elsewhere and it is available but significantly more or its now on eBay for incredible amounts of cash. So, sadly I’ve now stopped bothering with this company. Sad but unfair to keep hoping that they will deliver.
