Big letdown

I bought a LiveScope a kraken trolling motor and another locator. I have had to return the kraken because the motor did not run. Now the Sd card will not stay in the echo ultra that is connected to the LiveScope. I have hardly gotten to use any of the products because of problems I bought what I was told was the top of the line in marine electronics. It has been a very disappointing experience so far. For being a first time user. I don’t think I would recommend these products to anyone and the techs are just like oh no big deal you will have to send it in. I have spent a lot of money to have the best and it doesn’t work. Thanks Garmin for a big let down.

Garmin built for adventure, not to last

Extremely disappointed with Garmin and the way they have handled the failure of my Fenix 7. I purchased my Fenix 7 in September 2023. At the time, the Fenix 7 was a premium $1,100 watch. You would reasonably expect a watch at that price point to provide many years of reliable service. Fast-forward to 2026 — barely three years later — and the Fenix 7 has completely failed. It stopped charging and will no longer operate. Garmin’s own technical assessment confirmed that the battery has failed, the watch heats up while charging, and the battery cannot be replaced separately. So rather than replacing a battery, the entire watch effectively has to be replaced. What is particularly disappointing is that this isn't a cheap fitness tracker. This was Garmin's premium Fenix range, marketed as a rugged, long-lasting device designed for years of use. I understand that batteries deteriorate and that the watch is outside the standard warranty. But less than three years from a $1,100 premium watch is raises serious questions about the long-term durability of Garmin's premium watches. If you're considering spending $1,100+ on a Garmin, I'd seriously think about how long you expect it to last — because my experience has been less than three years

The screen on the Garmin golf watches…

The screen on the Garmin golf watches crack easily (from my experience) and are not covered by warranty. I had an S62 for about a year and noticed the screen with a vertical crack on the right side. I was dumbfounded to find this not covered by warranty. I went through the replacement process ($140 plus tax) and had some initial issues that were resolved or so I believe. Less than 60 days into the replacement and the crystal is cracked again almost in the exact same place as the original. Not covered, again. So, I had recently ordered an R10 launch monitor. I asked about the screen coverage. Also not covered. Garmin loses that sale, back to Amazon that goes. I guess I'll live with the cracked screen until the watch breaks and then throw it in the garbage. $499 down the drain. Don't buy any Garmin product with a screen. It is not covered under any warranty.

I have a Garmin Edge 850 that is…

I have a Garmin Edge 850 that is without a doubt the most frustrating piece of tech I’ve ever owned. Who are the people at Garmin who think I want to navigate through a bunch of menus just to go for a ride on my trainer? Every time I power the thing up it opens to a different window! WTF Garmin! Do you even consider doing product testing with real consumers and not just pro cyclists, or worse, coders? To ride on my trainer, I turned off the sensor for my pedals when I’m on the smart trainer(Wagoo Kickr) so that it won’t fight for the connection, but ĩt doesn’t seem to matter. I finally had to delete the sensor entirely and then add it back in for road rides. This entire product is an epic fail!

Have referred over $5000 in new watch…

Have referred over $5000 in new watch sales to Garmin in the past 18 months if not more considering referrals pass on more good information to their referrals. When asked about a slight discount for a watch for my son just starting out, absolutely no good response from Garmin. Their loyalty program is non existent. The product quality is great. Obviously right, that is why I am referring them constantly in the triathlon endurance sports world, but taking care of good and loyal customers is not a priority for them. Know this going in. As a former senior exec in product management myself, I would think Garmin would have someone watching out for this. With competition the way it is, athlete referring to athlete is easy money. They should have better programs and they are dissmissive when you even ask. Love the watches, hate customer service.
