High quality, comprehensive stock list

Delivery is loooooong but it’s to be expected. However it is a factor in what’s making me go toward UK based suppliers, perfumeextract for fast delivery, fragrance foundry for reliability, but fraterworks has such a vast repository of high quality materials (constantly being updated) that I just can’t not do a sneaky order once in a while. Plus the packaging is S tier. Just make sure you’re aware of customs charges before ordering, as it’s in New Zealand, you gotta know these things before ordering from another continent 😂

I was disappointed with my recent order…

I was disappointed with my recent order from Fraterworks. I placed an order for over £500, only to receive an additional FedEx invoice for almost £110 in customs charges. The order was supposed to be delivered yesterday, but it is still being held by FedEx pending payment of the customs charge. This has added further frustration, as I had no idea I would be facing such a substantial additional cost when placing the order. I appreciate that Fraterworks may state on its website that international customers can be liable for customs and import charges. However, I feel this should be made much more prominent at checkout, ideally with a clear warning before payment. A charge of almost £110 is a significant additional cost and shouldn't come as a surprise after the order has already been placed. I was also under the impression that Fraterworks was a UK-based company, partly due to how it appeared in Google search results. Had I known the order would incur these additional import costs, I would have considered buying from one of the other UK-based suppliers where I could have sourced the products without this extra charge. The products may be perfectly good, but the unexpected customs bill, combined with the delivery being delayed while payment is pending, has made this a very frustrating experience. A clear and unavoidable prompt at checkout explaining the potential import charges would make the purchasing process much more transparent for international customers.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I know it is incredibly frustrating when an order gets held up by customs for tax payments. Orders entering the UK are subject to standard VAT and import duties set by HM Revenue & Customs. The invoice from FedEx covers those mandatory government taxes, rather than any extra fees from us. Since import rules vary from country to country, we cannot calculate or collect local taxes at checkout, which is why we outline this policy on our website. I am happy to say that we are in the process of building a new checkout that will be all-inclusive pricing for customers around the world (including the United Kingdom). I really appreciate your business and am sure that once the parcel is released, the quality of the raw materials will make up for the initial delay. If you need any technical advice once you begin working with them, please just let us know.

Fantastic Experience

I've ordered many materials from Fraterworks and they have always been very good quality and arrived exactly when or earlier that stated. Materials are always well packaged. The prices are great and I have persoanlly never had a problem in the 3 or 4 times using them. They also help the community in posting perfume formulations to try. A really good resource with lots of information.

Its legit and safe website, but on top of shipping fees I had to pay import fees being in Canada, so the total I had to pay wasnt worth few items I got!

Bad Quality Products and Poor Customer Service

I am very disappointed with my experience. The product quality did not meet my expectations, and customer support showed little interest in helping. My questions were not properly addressed, and I felt that once the sale was completed, they no longer cared about the customer. I cannot recommend this company based on my experience.
