Not at all leakproof!
Three of the last 4 Contigo Westloop Autoseal containers have leaked--and not just a little, but enough to wet my whole purse and all its contents. That locking mechanism doesn't seem to work. Whether it's locked or not, liquid streams out the opening. I've gotten free replacements for most, but it's a lot of hassle. And I don't want any more replacements, free or not!

Contigo's quality? Declining.
I've used their high rated containers for many yrs. now and it appears the quality is quickly deteriorating. The lids leak on the new ones worse then the ones i bought five yrs. ago and the plastic breaks off leading to spills. these were three NEW ones i bought a couple Mos. ago. Sometimes tooling wears out and the cheap way to go is to continue using the same worn out presses and dies which produce an inferior product with unmatched tolerances . One of three three still functions but i now doubt it'll last the Month. Note: cost cutting shows. UPDATED: 6/19 The third "New" cup's plastic lid broke off yesterday. So, three down in a couple Mos. I will now shop elsewhere.

I'm a bitsurprised by many of the reviews Ive read. My wife has used and abused the same Contigo Autoseal mug for at least 2 years. It still keeps drinks hot for hours, the mechanism has never broken and the seal is still good. It has never leaked. And when I say 'abused' this thing has been dropped and has rolled down the street, its dented and wobbles because of the damage but it still functions perfectly. So much so I bought another one in case they discontinue it.

The first couple weeks
The first couple weeks, my Byron 2.0 travelmug kept my coffee hot for about 4 hours. Just a couple months of owning the mug, the coffee stays hot for about an hour and a half, at best. I don't recommend this mug.

Aftercare service as good as this deserves recognition.
You really only know how good a company is when there is an issue with their product. After well over a year's hard use a Thermal mug developed a minor leak. No Receipt, no proof of purchase and yet they replaced the item without quibble. Aftercare service as good as this deserves recognition.
