Staircase hazards gone
From first contact surveyors were polite and took time to explain all they were doing. When the fitter arrived we left him to his work, when it was finished we were very pleased to see an immaculate staircase the fitter carefully showed me the operation of the stairlift and would not leave until I had been up and down a few times and I said that I was satisfied

My stair lift was installed via 3rd…
My stair lift was installed via 3rd party. I returned home after a 1 week stay in hospital, used the lift once and then it broke down. This is the 4th time it has broken down. The previous time was only 7 weeks ago. The lift was making a continual beeping sound right next to my bedroom, making sleep impossible, so my son switched it off at the main plug. Apparently, this made the warranty void. They now say it will cost £80-£190 to send an engineer out. I do not have the funds to pay it. This company has NOT provided any maintenance checks. I believe this is a breach of their contract. The stair lift is unreliable and the customer care is appalling. The opening statement on their advert states that 'in the unlikely event of a breakdown' Seriously? How about 4 breakdowns? I have suffered 2 heart attacks and have unstable angina. Climbing stairs has caused an angina attack on multiple occasions. My son made it very clear the the stair lift had broken down before it was switched off. My only regret is that a reputable company hadn't installed the stair lift in the first place. The 3rd party informed me that the warranty lasted 10 years. I am at a loss on what to do next. Should I contact the ombudsman? Think twice before using them.

Absolutely fantastic!
Absolutely tip top work on our wet room. The chap who came to do the work was here promptly every morning, and worked hard all day every day. He even came back on the Saturday to make sure everything was properly finished and ready to use. I would definitely recommend this company. And all the rubbish was picked up and taken away at the end of the job. I have nothing but praise for the whole experience. And now we can all have a shower!
