This programs SAVED MY Life

This programs SAVED MY Life. I had a shoot with a family, I just got a new camera and didn’t have my focus setting in properly, it was set on manual focus. All my pictures were blurry, like BAD. This salvaged 75% of my shoot. My client loved the pictures. It was like magic.

Guarantee? What guarantee?

I decided to give their video upscaler a go. £90 later, I'm installed. I upload a 40min video. It is going to take about 35 hours to render. Then I get the first message? "Is the Processing too slow?" Why don't I buy more credits. What credits? When did their site say "we are going to dupe you through the door, fairly expensively, and then charge you a shed load more to actually do the thing you paid us to do already?" Obviously not going to work for me, so I decided to invoke their 30-day money back guarantee. This is a straight lie. The only time they guarantee to pay you back is if you buy the wrong piece of their software and meant to buy another piece (in which case you can swap) or if you bought two licences instead of one. If you just don't like their software....you can whistle dixie. It's disgusting and I suggest you steer clear of them completely or risk being caught out like me. Why on earth can't companies just do what they advertise? How is this sustainable as a business model long term?

Misleading / False advertising

I originally believed I was purchasing the Edimakor video editing product itself. After making the purchase, I was informed by HitPaw support that I had only purchased credits and that I would also need to purchase a separate membership subscription to use the full product features. Because I felt the pricing and purchasing process was confusing, I chose not to continue and found an alternative product instead. I then completely forgot about the purchase. Months later, I discovered that recurring membership charges had been taken from my account. What makes this particularly concerning is that HitPaw's own support team previously told me in writing that I had not purchased a membership plan, stating: "We noticed that you only purchased our Edimakor credits, but did not purchase our Edimakor membership plan." They also confirmed: "The product you purchased is Edimakor 10000 Credits - 1 Month x 1, not Edimakor - 1 Month/1 PC." Despite this, I have since been charged multiple times for a 1 Month/1 PC subscription that I did not authorize. When I requested a refund, I was told that refunds are only provided for software faults. However, my concern is not that the software was faulty. My concern is that I am being charged for a subscription that their own records and support correspondence previously indicated I had not purchased.

Don't buy this product!

I strongly recommend thinking twice before giving HitPaw your money. Although the company finally refunded everything I paid, it took nearly two weeks of aggravation, repeated demands, questionable excuses, and insulting partial-refund offers to make that happen. I initially paid $87.99 for a subscription. When the product failed to process my project properly, I spent another $139.98 on credits while trying to get the service to work. I attempted to use those credits, but HitPaw’s system would not allow me to do so. My account continued to show every credit I had purchased, confirming that none of them had been used. In total, I paid $227.97 and received no usable result. I cooperated fully with HitPaw’s technical support process. At their request, I sent them files so they could investigate why the video portion of my project stopped processing. After making me wait several days, they claimed the problem occurred because my SSD had become disconnected. That explanation did not match what happened. The audio continued processing after the video stopped. If the SSD had actually disconnected, it does not make sense that the software could continue accessing and processing the audio. Furthermore, neither my computer nor the SSD was touched during the process. Rather than convincingly diagnosing the failure, HitPaw appeared to blame my equipment. Then came the refund battle. Recovering the initial $87.99 subscription payment took almost a week. Getting the remaining $139.98 refunded took another round of prolonged back-and-forth communication. HitPaw generally responded only once per day, so every inadequate offer wasted another full day. Despite my clearly requesting a 100% refund from the beginning, HitPaw initially offered only 30%. After I rejected that and waited another day, they offered 50%. After another rejection and another day, they increased the offer to 80% and tried to include a lifetime HitPaw license. Why would I want lifetime access to software that failed to work and customer service that put me through this ordeal? I should never have been forced to bargain my way from 30% to 50% to 80% to recover money for credits that were never used. This was supposed to be a money-back guarantee, not a negotiation at a used-car dealership. HitPaw also claimed that resources or services had already been delivered or used. However, my account continued to display every credit I purchased. Their own system contradicted the justification they were giving me for withholding part of my refund. After nearly two weeks of refusing partial offers, rejecting unwanted licenses, repeating the same demand, and refusing to be worn down, HitPaw finally refunded the remaining $139.98. I have now received the full $227.97 back, but only after an exhausting and completely unnecessary fight. I want to be fair and state clearly that HitPaw ultimately refunded all of my money. However, a company does not deserve praise for finally returning a customer’s money after spending nearly two weeks resisting the refund, offering progressively larger percentages, and attempting to substitute unwanted products and licenses. The eventual refund does not excuse the process. In fact, it raises an obvious question: If HitPaw was ultimately able to issue a 100% refund, why did it first force me through offers of 30%, 50%, and 80%? Based on my experience, HitPaw’s money-back guarantee was not a guarantee in any meaningful sense. It was an endurance test. The process seemed structured to make obtaining a full refund so slow and frustrating that a customer might eventually surrender and accept less than the amount owed. My advice is simple: buyer beware. If you choose to purchase anything from HitPaw, save every receipt and email, document every failure, and take screenshots of your credit balance. If the product does not work, be prepared to repeatedly demand the refund you were promised, and do not assume the company’s first, second, or third offer is the most it is willing to return. Save yourself the headache.
