I’ve just got back from the 13 day Japan tour
I’ve just got back from the 13 day Japan tour with Intro Travel, and it genuinely was the trip of a lifetime. Every part of the tour was incredible, and I came home with so many amazing memories. What I loved most was the versatility of the trip. We experienced everything from the buzz of city life and the bright lights and arcades of Electric City, to peaceful temples, beautiful scenery and relaxing onsens. We tried samurai fighting, made sushi, travelled on so many different modes of transport and got to experience so many different sides of Japan. It felt like every day brought something completely different, and the itinerary was so well thought out. I’ve previously travelled with other group tour companies and have even worked for a tour company myself, so I know how much work goes into making a trip like this run smoothly. Intro Travel were fantastic. Everything felt organised, fun and effortless from our side. A huge part of that was down to our tour leader, Charlie. He was absolutely fantastic and genuinely made the trip what it was. He had the perfect balance of everything you want in a tour leader: knowledgeable, friendly, funny, hardworking, organised and completely involved with the group. He brought such great fun energy every single day and made everything feel easy and enjoyable. I’ve done a lot of group travel over the years and I can honestly say I’ve never met a tour leader quite like Charlie. He went above and beyond throughout the entire trip and made everyone feel welcome, included and looked after. Nothing ever seemed like too much trouble, and you could see how much effort he put into making sure we were all having the best possible experience. He really is an absolute credit to Intro Travel and a big reason why this trip was so special. Japan was unforgettable, Charlie was fantastic, and I would 100% book another trip with Intro Travel. An absolute trip of a lifetime!

Great introduction to Vietnam
It was a perfect trip to discover some of the highlights of Vietnam! It includes a good mix of nature and culture, but also allows for activities of your own choosing. My group leader Zoe did an excellent job of making sure everything was taken care of, and she was always so kind and joyful!

I recently completed the South Korea & Japan Discovery Tour, and overall I had an incredible experience. Both countries exceeded my expectations, the itinerary was fantastic, the accommodation was generally very good, and I made amazing friends along the way. I also want to specifically recognise our South Korea tour leader, Maisie. She was brilliant, friendly, approachable, organised and genuinely great fun to be around. She created a welcoming atmosphere within the group, made an effort to get to know everyone, and always seemed happy to answer questions or help where she could. The pace of the South Korea itinerary was busy, and my only suggestion would be to build in a little more downtime, but Maisie herself was excellent and is a real credit to the company. Unfortunately, my experience during the Japan section with our tour leader, Kiki, was very different. At the welcome meeting there was a strong emphasis on mental health, wellbeing and encouraging travellers to approach the guide if support was needed. Sadly, this did not reflect my experience. Following a bed bug incident on the first night that resulted in room changes, there was no follow-up to check whether i was okay, Given the emphasis placed on wellbeing at the start of the tour, this felt disappointing. Throughout the tour I found communication to be consistently abrupt and, at times, dismissive. Simple questions often felt like an inconvenience rather than an opportunity to help. Whether asking for local restaurant recommendations, requesting approximate departure times so we could plan our free time, or simply asking for the hotel name when a WhatsApp map link wasn’t working, I often left interactions feeling like I had somehow asked the wrong question. There were also several occasions where comments made in front of the group left me feeling embarrassed or singled out. Individually these incidents may seem small, but over two weeks they created an atmosphere where I became reluctant to ask questions or approach the guide for assistance. I was also disappointed by the level of historical and cultural interpretation provided at many locations. I had expected more explanation about the history, culture and significance of the places we were visiting. There were occasions where historical dates or facts were stated incorrectly before being corrected, and I often found myself researching sites afterwards because I wanted to understand them better. One of the biggest highlights of the entire trip was attending a sumo tournament in Tokyo, something our group organised ourselves rather than as part of the tour. It brought everyone together and I genuinely think it should be offered as part of the tour. I also feel Tokyo could benefit from more organised group experiences, as much of the time there was left entirely to independent exploration despite it being one of the world’s greatest cities. To be fair, there were positives. Kiki offered to take photographs for travellers and managed the logistics well. My criticism is not about organisation; it is about communication, empathy, warmth and overall leadership style. Despite my concerns regarding the Japan tour leadership, I genuinely loved both countries and would absolutely recommend this itinerary. My disappointment is that the quality of the Japan tour leadership fell well below the quality of the itinerary itself. I sincerely hope Intro Travel takes this feedback constructively because the itinerary itself is excellent and deserves a guide who matches the quality of the trip.

Intro made the trip so stress free…
Intro made the trip so stress free which is what I was looking for. I was also a solo traveler and was nervous at first but then intro team had everything sorted that I needed to do before hand and when I arrived I felt comfortable from the beginning. Thailand Island Explorer was the best trip I have ever been on and I would reccomend to anyone wanting to do it to get it booked! A huge part of why I had such an amazing time on the Thailand Island Explorer trip was because of our amazing guide Sky. From the very beginning she was incredibly kind, helpful and full of positivity. She made me feel so welcome the minute I arrived and it felt so effortless because of her. She truly went above and beyond to make sure everyone on the trip was having the best experience possible at all times. She was very knowledgeable, she made us all laugh multiple times and she made the trip really special. She is incredibly talented and an amazing singer! Thank you again Sky!

KIKI WAS ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT. The most knowledgable, funny and caring person i have met. I felt nauseous on the trip and immediately she already went to the pharmacy and got me exactly what I needed. Too caring of a person.
