Misleading replies and 2.5 months of broken promises

I fully paid for a wardrobe and a long chest of drawers on April 2nd, 2026. It has been 2.5 months of empty promises. In their reply from June 4th, the company tries to look good by saying "part of the order has already been delivered". This is completely misleading! They only delivered a different unit (a tall cabinet and a small unit) because those items were already sitting in their warehouse from a previous stock, and I had to personally go to the store to demand at least something after waiting for 2 months! Meanwhile, the main items from April 2nd — the wardrobe and the long chest of drawers — are still missing. The store promised me delivery for either this Tuesday (June 16th) or Wednesday (June 17th). Today is Wednesday morning, and absolutely nobody from the warehouse has called me. Complete silence and zero customer service. Avoid this shop.

Very poor customer service and lack of communication. I placed an order with J&B Furniture on 17/05/2026 and, since then, I have had no proper update regarding the status of my order or delivery date. I tried contacting them through WhatsApp and sent two messages, but both were ignored. I also submitted a question through my online account on 26/05/2026, and again I received no response. As a customer, the minimum I expect is communication, especially after placing an order and waiting for delivery. Being ignored after multiple attempts to make contact is unacceptable. Based on my experience so far, I would not recommend buying from this company

Please note that for products that are not in stock, our website clearly shows the status “On Request – delivery time: 3–8 weeks” before placing the order. Your order was placed on 17/05/2026, and based on the delivery timeframe displayed on our website, it is still within the expected delivery period. Regarding your order, we can confirm that the item is expected to arrive at our warehouse next week, around 4th/5th June. Once it has been received and processed by our warehouse team, our delivery department will contact you to arrange delivery in the following week. This means your order is still on schedule and, in fact, should be delivered well within the estimated 3–8 week timeframe shown on our website. We do apologise if your WhatsApp messages or account enquiry were not responded to quickly enough. This is not the level of communication we aim to provide, and we will review this internally. NOT RECOMMEND. They don’t meet the deadline, my purchase got 20 days of delay with no clear answers from costumer service. Even when I got a delivery confirmation, it was delayed once again.

At J&B Furniture, we normally aim to deliver within 10 working days, and in many cases we complete deliveries even sooner. As we are based solely in Limerick, we organise long-distance deliveries by grouping orders in the same area to ensure efficiency and keep delivery costs low for our customers. In your case, the delivery location required a 6-hour round trip, and unfortunately we were unable to schedule that route as quickly as planned. Although your delivery was free of charge, this does not change the fact that the delay occurred, and we fully acknowledge that we did not meet the expected timeframe on this occasion. For that, we sincerely apologise. As a family-run business, our dedicated delivery and assembly team coordinates and completes deliveries across Ireland on our behalf. While occasional logistical challenges can arise due to scheduling and routing, the responsibility always remains with us as a company.
