Been using Jumpspeak for a bit and…
Been using Jumpspeak for a bit and honestly really like it. I mostly use it when I’m too busy to do a full study session. Just having something I can talk to for a few minutes makes practicing feel way easier, and the pronunciation feedback has been really helpful. Definitely one of the more useful things I’ve added to my routine.

I purchased Jumpspeak to help me learn Greek
I purchased Jumpspeak to help me learn Greek. The Greek program was flawed in a number of ways: For many modules, there was only transliteration in English (not spelled out in Greek alphabet), which undercuts the ability to begin to associate sounds with the Greek letters. (It's useless to be able to converse with a waiter if you can't read the menu items. The transliterations were also not helpful for pronunciation. (For example, Jumpspeak substituted "u" for the Greek letter "upsilon", which is pronounced "ee", "ef" or "ou" depending on where it is in a word. And they lacked stress marks, which can differentiate two different words with the same spelling in Greek, for example, Πότε (Póte -- when) vs. Πότε (Poté -- ever or never). Customer service was receptive to my complaint, but their complete Greek program needs to be revamped. So I requested a refund.

It’s helped me become more confident speaking French.
I’ve been studying French for a while, but speaking has always been the hardest part for me. I can understand vocabulary and grammar pretty well, but when I actually have to speak, I sometimes get stuck thinking about whether I’m saying things correctly. I decided to try Jumpspeak because practicing with AI felt more comfortable for me than immediately having conversations with other people. I can practice whenever I have free time, repeat things when I need to, and make mistakes without feeling embarrassed. It also encourages me to actually speak out loud instead of just doing the usual reading and memorizing. I’m definitely still learning, but I’ve noticed that I’m less nervous about practicing French and more willing to actually form sentences and respond. For me, having a low-pressure way to practice speaking has been the most useful part.

Enjoy the speaking but glitchy
As much as I love trying to learn a new language this app doesn’t help at times because it doesn’t recognize the word you are saying and inserts a totally different word. Sometimes it takes so long to recognize what you’ve said that it makes you feel like you’ve said it wrong for awhile. App is super glitchy. Not happy with the money I spent for this one. I’ve tried reaching out to jumpspeak for help but never get a response.

This company is a scam
The app was nothing like I expected so stopped using it after a couple of days. However, the real problem here is that this is a company that scams you into renewing a subscription you're not using. I signed up a year ago, stopped using the app for the reasons just described. 12 months later, they just charge my card again - no warning, no communications, no clear instructions around how subscriptions apparently auto-renew. When I've tried to contact the company for a refund, I get fed some generic AI-generated crap stating "here is our refund policy". No way to speak to an actual person, no way to file a complaint. Companies like these should not be allowed to operate - I highly advice you to stay as far away as possible unless you want to be scammed. Stick to companies that get people to renew because of the quality of their product and not because of auto renewing by deception.
