Scam artists!
I purchased an annual subscription to Kidslox, expecting a functional, reliable parental control app. Instead, the service fails multiple times every month on multiple devices. Whenever the app crashes or drops supervision, support forces us into an endless troubleshooting loop of uninstalling, reinstalling and resetting the entire setup. When we requested a refund under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, support refused, attempting to blame "device configuration" or "network issues." This is completely false. We tested the app across four entirely separate devices, a Google Pixel, a Poco phone, a Samsung tablet and a Lenovo tablet and the service failed repeatedly across every single one. This proves the fault lies entirely with their software infrastructure, not the user's hardware. Under UK law, digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and any repairs must be carried out without significant inconvenience. Expecting customers to act as unpaid QA testers and endlessly reinstall broken software is a clear breach of consumer rights. They are hiding behind a rigid "no refund" policy and shifting the blame onto paying customers. Avoid this app!!! The service is unreliable, and their support team refuses to honour statutory consumer rights when the software fails.

Terrible experience
Terrible experience. Very good at taking money and very polished marketing but their actual platform sucks and is NOT useful. It is almost impossible to remove once it is on devices. Does not do what it promises (protect our kids). And 'customer service' is a joke and designed to keep you in their ecosystem. A complete joke to be honest

This app is AWFUL and their customer…
This app is AWFUL and their customer support is even worse. There are ZERO redeeming features to this app. It also caused my daughter's phone to work so unbelievably badly that her phone was completely unusable and her battery got to the point where it was only lasting an hour or two. The other issue that makes me furious is I've contacted customer support numerous times and never gotten any meaningful help. Because of all of this I cancelled my subscription a year ago and uninstalled from all our devices. I just got charged for another year's subscription and they are absolutely unwilling to reverse the fee, even though they can see the app isn't on any of my devices and has not been used. Apps like this make parenting HARDER not easier. Definitely don't buy!!!

Avoid Kidslox — incredibly frustrating software and almost impossible to remove
Kidslox is genuinely one of the worst pieces of software I have ever used. While installed, it constantly rearranged apps on our devices and sent multiple notifications every day that could not be properly turned off. The software was irritating enough to use, but cancelling my subscription and trying to remove it has been even worse. It has taken me months, several live-chat conversations and many hours of wasted time to uninstall Kidslox from my phone and iPads. This morning alone, I spent more than two hours trying to remove it from the final iPad. Their removal software simply would not recognise the device, even after I tried using two other computers. Nothing should be this complicated to uninstall. Customers should not need technical expertise, multiple computers and repeated assistance from customer support just to remove software they no longer want. A parental-control app is supposed to make family life easier. Kidslox has done the complete opposite. It has caused endless frustration, wasted a ridiculous amount of my time and has been far more difficult to remove than any legitimate app should be. I would strongly advise anyone considering Kidslox to look elsewhere.

App kind of works, but Customer Service Appalling
My experience is a mixed bag: I used the app for about 2 years with a young child (6-7 yo) and the controls were just about enough to help keep them off problem apps and control their screen time. It's easy to get around, but at that age and younger they're not smart enough to work it out. Probably wouldn't work well enough on older children or teenagers though. However the one star comes down to the appalling customer service. Like others, I canceled my subscription in the app, but then had a charge appear on my credit card. Trying to contact them ls unfortunately borderline impossible, and my emails never get a response. Compleatly unacceptable to just ignore all contact. Borderline theft. I've issued a chargeback but it can take months to resolve, so just got to cross my fingers. For that reason, avoid!
