Very unpleasant experience
Very unpleasant experience We bought tickets for a LOVERS canal cruise and arrived early. There were three of us, and we wanted to sit together by the window. There were plenty of empty window seats on the boat. However, the skipper ordered us to sit in a specific place in the middle or at the back of the boat, next to people who had already taken the window seats. At the same time, there were many empty window seats towards the front of the boat. When we asked why we could not sit there, the skipper said that those seats had to be kept for people who would arrive later. This made absolutely no sense to us: why couldn’t we take the empty window seats when they were available, especially since, according to the skipper, they would eventually be occupied by other passengers anyway? The ticket price is the same for everyone, and we were not informed when purchasing our tickets about any mandatory seating arrangement like this. But what upset me most was not the seating itself, but the way I was treated. The skipper did not even let me explain the situation. He told me that he was the skipper and that I should not argue with him, and then, in front of the other passengers, asked me, “Understood?” I felt humiliated and still do not understand what I had done to deserve being spoken to in that way. This attitude seriously ruined what should have been a pleasant cruise.

Very disappointing experience overall
Very disappointing experience overall. When we boarded, there was no space for my family to sit together, and we ended up scattered across different parts of the boat, unable to talk or enjoy the trip together. When we asked about the empty seats at the front, the driver told us those were reserved for emergencies only. Yet shortly after, he let two other women sit there without any issue. This felt unfair and inconsistent. If those seats weren't actually off limits, we should have been allowed to sit together as a family from the start. On top of that, the driver never announced that headphones were available or where to get them. I never received a pair. My mother did get some, but the cord wasn't even long enough to reach the jack at her seat. Poor communication and disorganized service ruined what should have been an enjoyable canal cruise.

Teleurstellende ervaring
Prima kapitein en behulpzaam personeel, maar de toelichting onderweg was een teleurstelling. Ik hoef niet op een boot door de Amsterdamse grachten te varen om te horen waarom het koningshuis Oranje heet, dat Nederlanders zoveel fietsen en echt niet allemaal klompen dragen. Er is onderweg zoveel moois te zien waar je graag wat meer over zou weten; dat komt helaas nauwelijks aan de orde.

Wir hatten einen sehr netten Fahrer (JH) machte von uns Fotos und behandelte uns nett und er war sehr pünktlich.
