They don't ship many ingredients that are supposed to come with the kits. They ship rotten ingredients. They're constantly late with shipments. Their customer service - if you can call it that - is the WORST. Here's a list of the ingredients they didn't ship for the last box I'll EVER buy from them (and they charged FULL PRICE for the kit): Flounder filets Yellow onion Bell pepper Jalapeno Garlic Cilantro Coconut milk Hondashi Fingerling potatoes Roasted almonds Broccolini Yukon gold potatoes Shallot Mushrooms Bacon Truffle dust Lemon Grits Cheddar jack cheese Roasted red peppers THE WORST! AVOID THESE CRIMINALS!!! UPDATE 8/28/26 - Please don't be fooled by the oh-so bogus response to my review you see from Marley Spoon here. I've emailed them over and over and over, tried to call them over and over and over, to absolutely no avail. Unfortunately for those clowns, I've kept every email and can substantiate all my accusations. They are, in addition to being con artists, consummate liars. AVOID AVOID AVOID MARLEY SPOON.

Marley Spoon has become a fraud franchise under the new management. This will be the 4th week that my order will not be delivered on the date that Marley Spoon gave me. It’s not even the date that I chose and they still can’t deliver. 4 weeks in a row that they have taken payment, delivery has not even arrived for 2 weeks already. So the money is removed from your account and now you have to figure out buying meals and groceries from your weekly budget because no food is delivered. Absolutely no respect or care for you as a customer or even common human decency about hardships and budgets of customers. They have turned off ALL PHONE AND CHAT ABILITY FOR THE LAST 4 WEEKS. ALL YOU GET IS AN ABSOLUTE PRE-WRITTEN AI GENERATED EMAIL OR REPLY. WHERE IS CUSTOMER SERVICE? Who is actually managing and making decisions? This is a 4 alarm dumpster fire of epic magnitude. That is the kindest description of Marley Spoon and more than they deserve with 1 star. I can’t do -5 stars but that... Read more

If I could give it a negative star review I would! My order was supposedly to arrive today 8/25/26 and I looked up the tracking number and said it still haven’t even left their facility yet!!!! That’s soooo bad!!! I immediately cancelled my subscription, I don’t need any more headaches…

I was a raving fan of Marley Spoon for more than five years, essentially since the company was getting started, and I’ve watched it grow tremendously over that time. Unfortunately, I’ve also watched the quality of its operations and customer service decline to the point where I finally cancelled my subscription. Over the years, I have experienced just about every issue you could imagine from a meal-kit delivery service: wrong recipes, missing ingredients, spoiled or moldy food, delivery delays, incorrect items, billing issues, overcharging, and promised credits that were never actually applied. I kept giving Marley Spoon the benefit of the doubt because I genuinely loved the service and wanted to remain a customer. I kept telling myself things would improve. Instead, they progressively got worse. The final straw for my family was receiving an entire box of meals that we did not order. Not one incorrect meal, the entire shipment was wrong!! Making matters worse is how extraordinarily difficult it has become to get meaningful customer service and in contact with a human representative. Trying to reach someone by phone often means dealing with automated/AI systems that send you through a loop without actually resolving the problem. Email support hasn’t been much better; in my experience, responses can take days or even until the following week. When you’re dealing with spoiled food, an incorrect delivery, or a billing problem, waiting that long for assistance is simply unacceptable. I’m also extremely concerned about the billing discrepancies I discovered. After reviewing my credit card statements from approximately the past year and comparing them with the charges amounts displayed in the Marley Spoon app/account, I found multiple instances where the amount charged to my credit card did not appear to match what was shown by Marley Spoon. There were also occasions when I reported spoiled or moldy ingredients and was told I would receive an account credit, only to later discover that the expected credit had not been applied. For a subscription service that charges customers, there needs to be absolute transparency and accuracy when it comes to billing. What makes this especially disappointing is that I wasn’t a customer for a few weeks or a few months. I stayed with Marley Spoon for more than five years. I remained loyal through countless mistakes because, when everything went right, I genuinely enjoyed the meals. But eventually loyalty has to go both ways. I have now cancelled my subscription and moved to a competing meal-kit service, and so far the difference in reliability and customer service has been significant, like day and night. Marley Spoon has a good concept and some genuinely great recipes, but the complete operational failure problems, lack of accessible customer support, repeated fulfillment issues, and my concerns regarding billing ultimately made the service impossible for me to continue using. After five years of being one of their biggest fans, Marley Spoon has permanently lost my business. And frankly, if I were Martha, I would be embarrassed to have my name associated with the customer experience this company is currently providing.

This company has became a joke. My boxes are supposed to be delivered on Wednesdays, Tuesday I get an email saying it's coming Thursday. Received the box, one recipe was missing three ingredients. I contacted customer service, was offered a $12 credit first. I told them I wanted a refund, not a credit, because I had cancelled my subscription. Received an email back, explaining two of the three ingredients were left out do to a "supplier issue", not even acknowledging the third ingredient. This person offered me a $9 credit. Again I replied, told them I didn't want a credit but a refund. Received an email this morning offering me a $5 credit to be used toward a future box. What a joke. Two of six meals not usable unless I go buy missing ingredients and they want to give me $5. I guess my next step is to dispute the charge. It doesn't look like a refund will be coming from Marley Spoon.

Auch nicht für Geld. Unclaimed ist fair. Claimed gibt das Mikrofon — nicht den Radiergummi.
