Unpaid tasks. Rigorous confusing AI-driven onboarding with no human support (no exceptions). Multiple platforms for available tasks, actual work, payments that don't talk to each other. Zero human support for any issues. Stay away.

Project ends before onboard
Inefficient application procedure — involvement in a project is harder than winning a jackpot at casino. They don't do ID checks when people register their ID on the website. It is only when they assign a project that they do ID check including criminal record check. Due to their vendor's slow working, criminal record check would not initiate for a while. I get contact from them after more than a week. Project ends before such procedure completes. I don't know. I spent a lot of cost for it. This is the worst platform that does not think about the smooth procedure.

I completed the whole application…
I completed the whole application process and am an EXCEPTIONAL, not even just ideal, candidate for the "role" I applied for. I actually received a rejection email, with absolutely ZERO distinctive rationalization for that rejection. Something does not add up: Either the AI rejected me for invalid reasons that simply weren't included in the rejection OR there really wasn't an AI assessment at play at all, and someone, A HUMAN BEING, actually WATCHED my neurodivergent video interview and determined I didn't "look right" or "act right" for the "role." OR, there wasn't really a role at all. I deleted my account and will absolutely NEVER interact with the platform again. I am an absolute UNIT for the opportunity I applied for so being rejected for "reasons unknown" is a CLEAR indication that this platform is absolutely NOT what it seems to be.

About Project selection
I have applied for more than 200 projects through Mercor, but unfortunately I have received only one project. I believe I have strong skills and the ability to deliver high-quality work, so it is very frustrating to put in so much effort and receive so few opportunities. The application process could be much more transparent. It would be helpful to understand why applications are rejected and what specific skills or criteria are being considered when selecting candidates. Talented and qualified applicants should have a fair chance to demonstrate their abilities. I hope Mercor can improve its matching and selection process and provide more meaningful opportunities to skilled candidates.
