Unfulfilled promises for 8,800 EUR
⚠️ Professional disappointment and striking disproportion.I paid 8,800 EUR for a PREMIUM publishing package. According to the publisher's legal representative, the proven expenditure on direct marketing (Google Ads) was only 379 EUR, while the remaining amount was allocated to internal costs. To date, only 130 copies have been sold (60 of which I purchased myself). The distribution promised in the contract means in practice that the printed book is not physically available on bookstore shelves; the publisher's position is that they merely "offered it for sale" to wholesalers. At the Frankfurt Book Fair, the book was placed on the bottom shelf of the stand under warehouse-like conditions, while the stand's main banner aimed at recruiting new authors. As a consumer, I do not recommend this setup.

Janet Jeffery being a new author, and searching for a publisher finally found novum publishing who gave me the opportunity and so my journey began. Now my book has been released despite a few personnel holdups. All my thanks go to Eszter Szabo Author Support who stepped in and has done an excellant job in getting me to the finishing line and has been quick and helpful all the way and now my book has been released.
