scam
I placed an order a few months ago and heard nothing for a long time; meanwhile, I kept coming across reports of scams and the like, so I contacted them out of concern. Suddenly, I received a notification that the order was on its way via FedEx, complete with a tracking number; delivery was scheduled for August 14th, but unfortunately, nothing arrived. I informed them of this and was subsequently told that the item was still sitting in the warehouse in Lithuania—where it is manufactured—but could not be shipped due to a dispute that had arisen between the manufacturer and Ocean Silhouette. It’s a very strange story. They don't address the accounts of people claiming to have been scammed, yet the exact same thing is happening to me. I chose Klarna as my payment method; they have currently paused the payment. The plan was for the payment to be triggered once the item shipped, but they miscalculated—the payment remains paused until delivery actually takes place, which, in all likelihood, won't happen.

No responsibility for duties or duties process
I'm quite happy with the product delivered. However, he delivery service is a whole other matter. I don't order from other countries that often, maybe a 5-10 times a year. This delivery is the first time there was no pre-duties collected or a duties due tag on the packaging when delivered. I've received multiple communications from the shipper selected and paid for by Ocean Silhouettes, indicating I owe duties of $9 and a service fee of $15. I didn't agree to any service fees. I'm not the shipping customer, Ocean Silhouettes was. I contacted Ocean Silhouettes and they point to their FAQ that says you may have to pay duties. Duties is one thing but service fees are NOT. I'm still waiting on a copy of the duties paperwork to confirm anything was or is owed. Ocean Silhouettes is not taking any responsibility. Very poor customer service in my opinion!
