Even scummier now
Odeon have become absolute scum now that they charge higher prices for the exact same seats just because they're further back. Everything was already overpriced but I still like to treat myself. Now it's a hard pass. Maybe DON'T screw your customers over

⭐️Great IMAX Screen, Terrible Air-Con & Ordering System
⭐️ Really disappointing experience at the ODEON Metrocentre IMAX tonight. Firstly, the auditorium was extremely hot and uncomfortable throughout the film. I actually left the screening to mention it to a member of staff, who told me she would send someone to check the air conditioning. Unfortunately, nothing seemed to change and it remained hot for the entire movie. I raised it at the time specifically to give ODEON the opportunity to resolve the issue rather than simply complaining afterwards. The food ordering and collection system is also terrible. It feels incredibly poorly thought out and completely unoptimised for a busy cinema. The numbering and collection process creates unnecessary confusion and just doesn't seem designed to move customers through efficiently. Whoever designed and approved this system really needs to spend an evening watching it operate when the cinema is busy, because it simply doesn't work well in practice. It's a shame because the Metrocentre IMAX itself is fantastic and I genuinely enjoy coming here, but these basic operational issues really let the experience down. When you're paying a premium for IMAX, a comfortable auditorium and an efficient food collection system shouldn't be too much to expect.

Cancelled screening with no refund
Cancelled our screening at short notice and refused to refund us in full. We got an email less than an hour before the start time, and after we'd already travelled into the area, telling us the screening had been cancelled due to "a technical error". We'd booked using vouchers we'd bought specifically for the screening. Odeon refunded us the upgrade fees we'd had to pay on top of the vouchers, but refused to refund the cost of the vouchers. Fortunately we were able to book tickets to the same film at the nearby Vue Piccadilly. This was cheaper than the Odeon had been, even with the vouchers, and still had a great screen and seats. And most importantly, no technical issues.

spiderman is absolutely gorgeous. zenaya is a queen. seats were comfy as. i just loved it. recommend watching at odeon it’s great honestly no idea why they get bad reviews

Tried to book seats
Tried to book seats, transaction failed so booked different seats. Later that day I have been charged twice, no email to confirm the first booking for which the seats are still showing as booked. Customer service is non existent. No phone number. AI chat bot which isn’t trained correctly so just loops asking the same questions. Get through to a human, to then be told they are busy and I end up back in the AI queue. Absolutely terrible service. Been waiting over 30 minutes now to get this sorted.
