Total scam!
It was bad from start to finish. I purchased a plane ticket through OOJO, and immediately received a phone call from an OOJO sales rep trying to upsell me on travel insurance for the ticket. I refused and said I just wanted to buy the ticket as is. It was really annoying. Then I got an email saying that the ticket hadn't actually been purchased, but was "in processing" and could stay this way for up to 72 hours. However, my ticket stayed "in processing" for 5 days. When I followed up and called OOJO after 5 days to ask if the sale had gone through, they told me that they had been trying to reach me over email, WhatsApp and phone but I never received a single email or text (they lied). They said they were trying to reach me to let me know that over the past 5 days while the ticket was stuck in processing, the ticket price went up and now they need to know if I'm willing to pay more money. When I reluctantly said yes, they told me they had to call me back in 10 minutes to start a new ticket at the new price. But no one ever called back, so I called them back, got disconnected twice and then got transferred several times, because apparently a single agent is responsible for my ticket and no one else from customer service can modify the ticket. It took them another 5 minutes of me being on hold to figure out who this single agent is (in my case, Alfred). After being disconnected two more times, I finally just cancelled the ticket. An absolute waste of time. I just got back on kayak and bought a different ticket through a different company instantaneously, no 5 day waiting period during which the price goes up, no series of phone calls. Such a sketchy experience.
