Dear PayOp Team,

Dear PayOp Team, I note your position that the transactions were authorized and that PayOp provides services solely to merchants. However, the payments in question were processed for Mystake, an unregulated gambling website in the UK, which raises serious compliance concerns. Even though the transactions were technically authorized, I should not have been exposed to this merchant, and I am requesting a full refund of the amounts processed. I have obtained a data disclosure from Yapily showing all transactions processed through your platform and the parties involved, providing clear evidence of the flow of funds. Accordingly, I formally request that PayOp: 1. Facilitate a refund of the unauthorized exposure to this unregulated merchant. 2. Provide full details of the merchant accounts and entities involved in receiving these funds. 3. Confirm the transaction routing and merchant category codes (MCC) applied. 4. Provide details of any due diligence or monitoring measures applied to the merchant to ensure compliance. I expect a formal response within 7 days, including confirmation of the refund process. Failure to respond will leave me no choice but to escalate this matter to: • My card issuer • The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) • Action Fraud • Other relevant regulatory authorities I would prefer to resolve this matter cooperatively and directly and look forward to your prompt reply. We do not provide goods/services directly to you as the payer except processing the payment to the website. In this case, our involvement begins when you select our payment scheme and ends upon successful payment execution. Payop does not act as a marketplace, guarantor or middleman, but solely a payment processing system. All funds from your purchase are directed straight to the merchant (website). As such, we are unable to authorize refunds or influence the refund process. In your case we forwarded the inquiry to the merchant and received the required confirmations of your order fulfillment.
