Worst possible CarPlay kit you could…
Worst possible CarPlay kit you could buy for a BMW or other car otherwise. Like many of the unfortunate souls here, I was tempted to buy one because they are the CHEAPEST devices available and ship out very fast. THAT IS FOR A REASON!!!!!!! They specifically target people who really do not understand how sensitive the audio system on these cars can be nor care about the quality of the display. Upon installation I was met with the WORST display quality I have EVER seen on a vehicle. My 2008 Mercedes had a better screen than this product. I am not kidding. It did not stop there. I proceeded to connect the aux cable into the vehicles aux port and was presented with absolutely abysmal audio quality. I'm not an audio snob. Far from it. However the audio quality after installing this on my BMW E90 335i was reduced by roughly 40 percent. Adjustment of the audio settings made no difference. The connection was poor. CarPlay video quality... Also poor. I attempted to contact roadtop to return it. Upon doing this they promised me a return label. Three hours later, I check aliexpress again and they blocked me and proactively issued me a $20 dollar refund. What this did was basically stop me from imputing a complaint/dispute leaving me stuck on the phone with my credit card company for 30 minutes trying to reverse the charge. 60 days later my bank informed me I lost the dispute because roadtop showed them proof of a refund... The $20 dollar refund. None of this was worth "saving money". Not the horrible headunit. Not the agony or stress. Nothing. I tried to use it since I was stuck with it and guess what... IT WENT FULLY BLACK 13 DAYS LATER! I ended up buying a "BimmerDirect" kit from the Taiwanese and can NOT even begin to tell how much of a better experience and product that has been. Roadtop needs to be shut down IMMEDIATELY!

DO NOT EVEN BE TEMPTED to purchase anything from Roadtop. I purchased a carplay kit and it dod t work right. They wanted to charge me to send out another one, but instead I just uninstalled the faulty one and returned it. Waited 4 weeks and no refund. 6 weeks later I still have no refund and no product. They refuse to return my messages and emails. SCAMMERS
