Whilst staying in Rhodes we hired a…

Whilst staying in Rhodes we hired a vehicle. It arrived early and we drove for one hour to Prasanisi beach. Four adults and one child. After an hour and a half we went back to the car so we could continue our day only to find that the battery was flat. We called to get this rectified. They called back to find out where we were and said they’d be with us in 45 mins. Whilst on this call a restaurant worker came over and bump started the car. The person on the phone advised us to go back to our hotel and to call when we got there so they could come out. This we did but it took them another two hours to get to us. The battery was very old and filthy so it was replaced. However when asking for a refund for half a day they refused and offered a discount code for our next visit. No good if you aren’t going to use them again. Really bad customer support with no resolve. I would rather pay more with a better company.

Dear Mr. M. Our response to your review remains consistent with the information already provided during your correspondence with our reservations department. We are sorry that the battery failure interrupted your visit to Prasonisi. However, unexpected technical issues that cannot reasonably be predicted or prevented do not automatically result in a rental refund, particularly when assistance is organised and the issue is resolved as quickly and efficiently as circumstances allow. A battery may fail suddenly for several reasons, including an internal cell failure, extreme summer temperatures or an electrical component, such as the lights, being unintentionally left active while the vehicle is parked. Such an incident can occur without prior warning and does not necessarily indicate inadequate maintenance. When evaluating the handling of an unexpected incident, the company’s response is particularly important. Prasonisi is one of the most remote locations in Rhodes, and assistance times must be considered in relation to the travelling distance, road conditions and heavy summer traffic. To reduce your waiting time, our team communicated with the restaurant owner, who assisted with restarting the vehicle after you approached the restaurant. Once the engine had started, you were able to return safely and more quickly to the comfort of your hotel instead of waiting for roadside assistance to travel to Prasonisi. While assistance was being arranged, you and your family also had the option of waiting inside the restaurant rather than remaining exposed to the sun and heat. Returning to the hotel was recommended by our team for your family’s comfort. The battery was then replaced at the hotel on the same day, and the vehicle remained available for the remainder of the agreed rental period. Considering that assistance was arranged, the vehicle was restarted, you returned safely to your hotel and the technical issue was resolved, we were unable to approve a refund for half a rental day. Nevertheless, we offered a future discount code as a sincere gesture of goodwill in recognition of the inconvenience. We regret that you did not consider this resolution satisfactory, but we believe our team responded responsibly and as efficiently as possible under the circumstances. Ich möchte euch wirklich warnen

Ich möchte euch wirklich warnen – beinahe wäre unser Urlaub direkt mit einer Katastrophe gestartet. Ich hatte einen Mietwagen bei Yours Car gebucht, mich als Hauptfahrerin angegeben und online mit der Kreditkarte meines Mannes bezahlt. Vor Ort wurde für die Kaution aber zwingend eine Kreditkarte auf meinen Namen verlangt. Mein Mann stand mit seiner Kreditkarte und gültigem Führerschein daneben – trotzdem konnten sie ihn nicht als Hauptmieter eintragen. Auch Barzahlung der Kaution war nicht möglich und eine Alternative wurde uns nicht angeboten. Das bereits bezahlte Geld sollte trotzdem einbehalten werden. Wir sind anschließend zu Rodos Cars direkt gegenüber vom Flughafen gegangen. Dort hatten wir ohne Kaution, völlig unkompliziert und in nicht einmal zehn Minuten einen Mietwagen. Bei Yours Car würde ich nicht noch einmal buchen. Rodos Cars dagegen können wir absolut empfehlen.

Best Car Hire In Rhodes!!

We have been booking with Rodos Cars now for almost 5 years. All our booking are done from their easy to use website. Type in Rodos Cars in Google to locate their website. They have a great selection of cars and as you build loyalty and you contact them they'll offer you a discount as a returning customer. You pay nothing until you arrive at their desk after security at check in. They will take card payments upon successful check in. The desk is located on the right as you walk through their gates. The speedy check in seamless, all they take is a copy of your licence and within a few minutes your off. The car port is located at the end the parade and the woman at the collection point is called Elaine (most of the time) she a wonderful woman that's so helpful and guides you through the do's & dont's. Their prices are very competitive and they have over 3000 cars in circulation! Their cars are relatively new too with a choice of automatic or manual. Great experience & service will use again.
