Excellent Cretan mountain safari
We did a Safari into the mountains on 17.07.26. with 6 others. Geoff was our guide and driver and we can’t praise him enough. He has lived in Crete for more than 20 years and his love of the island was evident. He was knowledgeable about all aspects of Cretan life and history and his enthusiasm shone through. He was keen for everyone to enjoy the day, he had a great sense of humour and gave us all a sense of adventure as he skilfully drove us along the tracks and mountain roads. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day, thanks to Geoff.

Don't miss this if you want to immerse in Crete's history
Safari Club tour into the mountains/plateau of Crete. Driver was Jason. Last minute change from walk through Samarian Gorge due to heat; chose safari over the walk and boy am I glad I did. 3rd visit to Crete but this visit was made special by this excursion in much needed air conditioned 4X4. Jason knows his stuff and related the history from antiquity to present day with great flair and humour. I was so inspired, I visited the archeological museum twice before I left. Wonderful day with 2 other couples. Stopped off in villages; visited shepherd with goats way up in the mountains, visited plateau and had traditional greek lunch. It was fun, informative and I could do it all again! BIG thank you to Jason.

Ausflug - Nidatour
Wir hatten einen super Guide mit Thomas beim der Nidatour. Es war sehr intetessant und wir waren an tollen Plätzen Kretas, untermalt mit der richtigen Musik. Das Mittagessen in der Taverne war wirklich lecker! Danke Thomas für diesen wunderschönen Tag!

Simply an incredible day out
Simply an incredible day out, off roading in the mountains and Greek villages, tasting local cheese, honey and olive oil. We saw some spectacular and breathtaking views, and an added bonus was when we spotted some Vultures with a 9 foot wing span cruising on the thermals. The scenery was amazing to see. We saw some goats with their shepherds - such a great experience. Our guide (English) Chris was extremely knowledgeable, witty, funny and great fun to be with. The lunch at the local taverna was delicious and plentiful. We didnt want this excursion to end. Little tip: take some cash in case you want to buy some local olive oil, honey or cheeses (the villagers don't have card machines). You will have a memorable time on this excursion. Worth every penny.
