Purchased content but can’t use and Developer does not care
I love Starwalk, but their intransigence when dealing with what I thought was a simple problem astonished me. You see I’ve had to change my Apple account, for reasons I won’t get in to. When I wanted to put my purchased version of Star Walk on my new Apple account, it was easy, however no purchased content appeared and they wanted to charge me again. After a number of email communications with the Starwalk helpdesk, they said this was an Apple issue and not theirs. So I’m left with a purchase I can no longer use. The issue is that the programme does not attribute purchase to a login (username and password) but to the original Apple AppStore so if you change that or through no fault of your own, you can’t use your purchased content and need to rebuy this. The fact that the helpdesk has now started to ignore my emails, is outrageous and downright insulting considering I paid them for a product that I now can’t use, through no fault of my own, but by their choice of linking purchases to AppStore login. I’d avoid this product and use some of the other offerings out there that are equally as good but without the Apple AppStore lock in, just in case you also loose access to purchased content. The fact that the developer tried to pain me off by saying this was an allow issue is shameful behaviour from, what I thought was a reputable developer, and I’d give them no stars if the option was there.
