Salesman Andy at Stoneacre Chesterfield Peugeot was excellent with no hard sell and easy to deal with. The only reason this is not 5 stars is that the Stoneacre group won't then leave you alone after you've bought the car, No matter how many times you say that you don't want GAP Insurance, a service plan and many more other addons, they still want to go through all the information which puts a bit of a damper on the buying experience.

Nothing but lies
My vehicle was booked in for a service on the 27th August at the Wigan branch. Given the issues we had last year with the Blackburn branch using the incorrect oil in the car and issues arising less than 2000 miles later, I booked in with the Wigan branch. When head office called me in July to book the appointment, they apologised for the trouble I had the year before and promised that Wigan would use a BMW compatible oil. Upon arriving at the dealer, my wife asked to see the oil that was going to be used to which she was told by the service agent that 'they come in barrels' so she couldn't show her. My wife then asked to see the label on the side to see proof that it was BMW approved. The service agent first said it was 5W30 oil which was going to be used, then came back with a picture (attached) showing it to be 0W20 and only VAG approval. My wife queried this and asked about BMW approval, to which the service agent pulled up the spec sheet to a Shell Helix oil on her screen (picture attached) and said this is what will be used. A quick google search for the label on the barrel proved that the oil to be used was not Shell at all, but in fact, Triple QX, Euro car part's own brand and proved that the service agent was lying to us. She then went on to say that if we went to Euro car parts and purchased the oil, they would carry out the service. How is it acceptable to ask for a customer to walk to a shop and buy the oil when you have not provided the correct one in the first place? This is now the second time that Stoneacre have lied to us and used / attempted to use parts that are not manufacture recommended. I find it appalling that to keep the warranty active, which I have paid money to extend, can only happen if the car is serviced at a stoneacre dealer, who constantly use parts that are not manufacture approved. I will not be bringing my car back to stoneacre for any further servicing and will be seeking legal advice on where I stand with the extended warranty which I have paid for.

Great service.
Great service from Ashley. Friendly and knowledgeable. Explained everything I needed. Followed up a few days later with a call which helped. Superb car.

Excellent service from Matthew Lane in Newcastle
Dealt with Matthew Lane in Newcastle. He was excellent all round - great knowledge, ensured we got the best deal and threw in a few other things even once we'd purchased. Felt like we dealt with a real professional, not a dodgy second hand car seller. My only gripe is the deluge of sales calls after from Stoneacres/Volvo trying to sell service schemes.

Purchased a pre registered MG6S ev.Less…
Purchased a pre registered MG6S ev.Less than 100 miles on the clock I/8/26. Radio stopped working after 10 minutes. booked in for repair 9/9/26. On the 23/8/26 car failed. Electric failure. MG assistance arrived charged 12 v battery. car worked. next morning car dead again. MG arrived .charged car ,and advised urgent drop off at nearest MG garage. Stoneacres failed to return the many calls and messages after mid day 24/8/26, until Fri 28/8/26 . Do NOT buy an MG. AND do NOT use Stoneacre
