Het was heel leuk maar er kan verbetering in
Ik vond het leuk, maar ik had wel het idee, van de verhalen die ik bij anderen heb gehoord en ook bij mezelf, dat de screening van de host families wel iets beter kan. Ik vond het voor de rest een goed programma, met goed contact als het nodig was, en ook fijn dat ze zo veel local coördinatoren hadden. Ik heb met mijn host familie veel leuke dingen gedaan en ben heel veel op pad geweest, en het was het zeker waard.

I had a really good experience, sts was very reliable and helped me not only plan and organize my exachange year, but also helped me throughout my exchange year. I would highly recommend this exchange program. The people that work here are so lovely and helpful.

Exchange in New Zealand
After I finished high school in the Netherlands I wasn’t sure yet what I wanted to study and at which university. So instead of going to a university directly, I decided to go on exchange with STS Education to New Zealand, with the select program, which was one of the best decision of my life. The main reason of this exchange for me was to take a break of studying and to decide what I really wanted to study next year. To be honest the road to the start of my exchange was quite bumpy, but the exchange itself was incredible. Why was the road to my exchange bumpy you may ask? First of all STS offered me three schools in New Zealand in which, my first option was eventually full. With my second option they promised me I would get in to the school, but the school denied me because of my age. So I went with my third option. I went to a high school in Nelson, called Nayland College. Moreover we got charged more money at the start, but they refunded that money, because it wasn’t in the contract. Eventually on the 5th of July I left the Netherlands to go on exchange in New Zealand. The welcome camp that is included in this exchange was in Auckland and it was amazing. Alicia Baker, who guided the welcome camp did a fantastic job. After the welcome camp in Auckland I went to Nelson by plane, but I wasn’t lucky. Because of the weather my plane got turned around and I stayed at Alicia’s for a few days and they made sure I made my way to Nelson. STS did a great job with solving this issue. Then finally I arrived in Nelson and now my exchange of 7 months really was about to start. My hostfamily was amazing. I had two great hostparents and an amazing Norwegian hostbrother. Furthermore the school was amazing too. I chose very different subject then I had at home. One of my favourite subjects was Outdoor Education. We had a few camping trips in national parcs which was great. But the thing I liked the most with this exchange where the people I met a long the way. At my school there were a lot of international students from all over the world. After my exchange I am still in touch with a lot of these people and sometimes they visit me or I visit them. For example I went to Oslo to see my Norwegian friends and an Italian & a Swiss girl came to the Netherlands to visit me. Moreover I did a tour in New Zealand during my exchange which was great. If you have the possibility to go travel during your exchange through the country, do it! During this exchange I have learned so much, not only about myself but also about other cultures and most important I found out what I wanted to study. I am happy how my exchange went and I wouldn’t change a thing, I am thankful that I got denied by the first two school, otherwise I wouldn’t have met these wonderfull people. In short, the exchange was incredible and I do not regret going on exchange to New Zealand with STS. If you have the opportunity to go on exchange do it. I hope this review sort of sums up the amazing 7 months I had and if you ever had any doubts about STS, don’t.

Still No Answers – Just Excuses
Dear Educatius, Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, your reply illustrates exactly what we have been experiencing for months: instead of answering the specific questions we raise, the discussion is redirected to something else. To other parents considering Educatius: please read this exchange carefully. We are not complaining that the U.S. has limited public transportation. We knew that before our son went to the U.S. Our question is much simpler: Why did we pay extra for the Select Program with OP as our selected school, while our son was ultimately placed in a different and apparently less expensive area — and why was he the only one of 11 students placed so far away? We were among the very first families to register — already in June 2025. All of the other students in this group came later. We were also explicitly told that our early application gave our son a very good chance of being placed directly in OP. We have been asking these questions for months. We have also asked why other students were still being placed in the OP area in May and June 2026 2026, despite being told in April 2026 that Educatius was looking for a host family for our son in the district. Your response addresses none of these questions. We have now forwarded this matter to CSIET and consumer-protection authorities in Sweden so that the placement and the fees charged can be independently examined. So, dear parents, please look carefully at how Educatius responds when serious and specific questions are raised. This is not a response to our concerns. It is a way of avoiding them — something we have experienced repeatedly for months. We are still waiting for facts, transparency and accountabilit. Rima

Z całego serca polecam STS Education, a przede wszystkim panią Agnieszkę Strąk! Nasz syn wyjechał za pośrednictwem tej organizacji na roczny program wymiany uczniowskiej do Stanów Zjednoczonych.Dla nas rodziców jest to ogromne przeżycie i decyzja, której towarzyszy wiele pytań oraz emocji. Pani Agnieszka jest niezwykle ciepłą, cierpliwą i empatyczną osobą.Zawsze miała dla nas czas, uważnie słuchała i spokojnie odpowiadała na każde pytanie.Niezależnie od tego, czy była w pracy, czy akurat przebywała na wakacjach:) Zawsze odbiera telefon lub szybko oddzwania:) Nigdy nie dała nam odczuć, że przeszkadzamy, nawet gdy kontaktujemy się z nią z drobną sprawą lub kolejną rodzicielską wątpliwością. Jej zaangażowanie zdecydowanie wykracza poza zwykłe wykonywanie obowiązków. Pani Agnieszka naprawdę troszczy się o młodzież i doskonale rozumie emocje rodziców, którzy powierzają organizacji swoje dziecko na cały rok.W każdej sytuacji potrafi uspokoić, znaleźć rozwiązanie i dać poczucie bezpieczeństwa.Jest osobą niezwykle profesjonalną, a jednocześnie serdeczną i ludzką. Nasz syn jest już w USA, poznaje nową kulturę, szkołę i życie w amerykańskiej rodzinie. Wiemy, że przeżywa wyjątkową przygodę, która da mu wiele samodzielności, doświadczeń i pięknych wspomnień. Jesteśmy ogromnie wdzięczni pani Agnieszce za jej nieocenione wsparcie na każdym etapie przygotowań oraz podczas pobytu syna . Jest Pani naprawdę wspaniałą osobą i najlepszą wizytówką STS Education.Z pełnym przekonaniem polecamy zarówno program wymiany, jak i opiekę pani Agnieszki każdemu rodzicowi rozważającemu taki wyjazd dla swojego dziecka.
