I don’t recommend using this app for SEO. I did not see any results; it feels fake, and I lost $250. I do not recommend it. What they claim about content creation is bullshit, and nothing is good.

Surfer SEO AI credits dispute and disappointing support and cannibalisation issues
We are currently in dispute with Surfer SEO because we still have a significant number of AI writing credits on our account, worth hundreds of pounds, which we are no longer able to use. In our experience, the platform contributed to a serious blog and page cannibalisation problem on our website. As a result, we stopped using the system many months ago and do not feel able to continue with it. Despite this, Surfer SEO has refused to refund the unused AI credits. The system consistently advises us to write blogs about irrelevant subjects and even to focus on full competitor articles. These credits are intended to cover AI writing usage, server time and data centre access. As we will not be using them, we do not understand why Surfer SEO should be retaining the full value when no further service will be provided to us. "Unfortunately, the refund is not possible, although considering the analysis and suggestions we proposed, you can still use the credits to create the articles until the end of your billing period, which is in November. I appreciate your point of view, though our understanding and position on the matter remain unchanged. I’d also like to clarify one important point. The suggestion was not to completely stop blogging or stop creating new articles altogether. The main recommendation was to focus more on improving and organizing your category descriptions first, as there seemed to be quite a bit of inconsistency and overlap within the current blog structure. The intention behind this advice was to help prioritize the areas that could bring the biggest SEO impact first — not to prevent you from using Surfer credits or continuing content work entirely. We offer that you use your remaining AI credits until the end of your billing period to make the most of it, and spend time on imporving your content." Overall, we feel this is very poor practice. Our experience of support has also been disappointing, with short replies that have often felt thin, technically unhelpful and lacking in proper engagement with the problem. The latest Surfer SEO suggestion to our Art Gallery based in Cornwall is to blog about "Taunton Garden Landscaping Services, Whites Landscapes taunton landscapes" , and "10 Iconic London Landmarks You Must See iconic place" and many other ridiculous suggestions. So in our experience Surfer SEO is broken and not Ai intelligent. We will be leaving the platform. On balance, we believe Surfer SEO has harmed our site rather than helped it, and we would advise other businesses to be very careful before committing significant money to the platform or pre-purchasing AI credits.
