Untrustworthy "Expert" Advice
I previously bought a pair of FiiO FF5 earbuds from this store and left a positive review. Based on that trust, I emailed them asking for a simple recommendation to connect them to my PC and extend the cable distance while maintaining quality. Instead of helpful advice, they used this as an opportunity to upsell me an entirely incompatible, massively overpowered desktop amplifier (the FiiO GIGAS 1). They assured me in writing it would "pair beautifully," but its massive 4,600mW output completely overloaded the sensitive 45Ω earbuds, creating a deafening, constant high-frequency ringing and fuzzing sound that risks destroying the drivers. When I complained, they agreed to a return but demanded video/audio proof of the fault first. The exact moment I sent the recorded audio proof, they went completely radio silent and ghosted me for a week. On top of that, they requested that I falsify paperwork by declaring a lower customs price. I ended up buying a simple, low-power UGreen USB adapter elsewhere for a fraction of the price, and the earbuds now run flawlessly with zero background fuzz. I have been forced to reclaim my £44 through an official bank dispute with my bank. Avoid this store—they care more about hitting sales targets than customer safety or honest advice. I would've spent hundreds over the year if they did not do me over on this one sale. Risk it if you will.
