PDF‑XChange is one of those companies…
PDF‑XChange is one of those companies that smiles while taking your money, then immediately stops caring once the payment clears. I bought their Expert licence, tried it for a few days, realised it wasn’t suitable for engineering work, removed it from all devices, and asked for a refund. Their answer was a smug, policy‑driven refusal based entirely on the fact that I had activated the licence — activation being their convenient excuse to avoid any responsibility. The software itself is mediocre for technical workflows. It lacks synchronised viewports for design verification, has no tablet mode for field use, performs poorly with pen input, offers weak greyscale/dimming tools for CAD comparison, provides almost no grouping capability, and has very limited shortcut customisation. Everything that should be quick becomes a tedious workaround, making the product impractical for professional use. But the real problem is the company’s attitude. They showed no interest in the fact that I had used less than one percent of the licence period before determining the product was unsuitable. They hid behind policy, refused to consider the circumstances, and made it clear that once you’ve paid, your satisfaction is irrelevant. Their stance is effectively: thanks for the money, enjoy the next three years of software you don’t want. If you work in engineering, design, surveying, or anything requiring efficient markups, avoid PDF‑XChange. Their priorities are crystal clear: profit first, customer service somewhere in the basement.

Terrible customer support policies and they don't stand behind their product
Purchased a perpetual license and also a year or two of maintenance and didn't really need any more upgrades as the software met my needs. So I let the maintenance lapse. Tracker Software subsequently, without notice to their customers, changed their policy and won't allow access to prior version installers unless you hand over more money. So when I had to set up a new PC and went to reinstall the license that I purchased, I had no way to get the latest version that I purchased. I contacted them and asked for help and they basically said this is a firm policy. All you can do is buy a renewal maintenance plan to get access to the newer one, which basically is 50% the price I initially paid. I struggle with the concept of having to pay when I don't need any of the newer upgraded features and I already have a perpetual license and they took away access to the downloaders without warning us that we should save the old downloader because they're going to remove our ability to get to it anymore. Terrible support and policies. I was happy with the software, but this company is not customer friendly and won't even work with you. They just decided, give us more money or tough luck and you don't get access to your old software anymore. I recommend staying away from them.

I had some difficulty installing the program. All self-imposed. The staff was pleasant and enthusiastically helpful. it was great dealing with real people instead of a chatbot. I'm thrilled with my experience and with the prodcut

Unethical Business Practices
Though they advertise that licensed purchased are "lifetime" and you only have to pay for upgrades, recently I discovered they removed the download links to the version I paid for because of "security reasons". I call B.S. They are no security concerns. They just wanted to make more money. Sorry Tracker Software: While I was planning to actually add more users to my subscription and even pay for maintanence, not anymore! I don't do business with scammers. I also want to mention I DID contact their support and they refused to help because somehow providing legacy links (how??) was enabling "pirating" their software (and sorry whats that got to do with me a paying customer?). I provided them with a purchase invoice too. With that said, despite their unethical business practices, the software itself is good and even works fine on linux with wine.
