Stay away from these scammers

Stay away from this company. They’ll mess up your case and then send you an invoice, months/ years down the line, blaming you for the claim not being successful because you failed to provide xyz (even if you do your best to co-operate, they’ll find an excuse). They do this despite having initially marketed that they have a no-win-no-fee policy, claiming that in their T&Cs they have some clause that negates this claim. Pure scammers operating from the heart of Denmark and with a legal team that’ll waste your time and not only only zero your chances of getting what you’re owed from the airline, but as a cherry on top, coerce you out of your hard earned money by sending you invoices for hundreds of euros because ‘you didn’t read the small print’. Surely under EU consumer regulations it can’t be legal to first market yourself as no-win-no-fee, add clauses in the small print that negate this claim, to then send invoices, sounds like a very USA style of exploitative practice. Edit: you can’t find my name? I’ve been talking to Cody G. for the past week, you very clearly know who I am. My name in your files is the same as on , but the case number is T12242.. You tried to flag my review as defamatory and tried to have it taken down and failed. Laughable last ditch efforts to save face.

Dear Awais We are sorry that you feel this way, but we cannot agree with the description of your case. First of all, TravelRefund is genuinely a no cure no pay service. We do not issue invoices simply because a claim is unsuccessful. The invoice in your case was issued because we were unable to continue the legal proceedings after repeatedly requesting documentation that was required by the court. On 26 May 2026, we sent you the German Power of Attorney required by our legal partner before your claim could be filed in court. Without this signed document, we were legally prevented from taking the next step in your case. Unfortunately, we never received it. You state that we "find excuses" even when passengers cooperate. That is simply not true. We wanted to continue your claim and take it to court. The only thing preventing us from doing so was the missing court authorization. You also suggest that our no cure no pay model is misleading. We respectfully disagree. The terms accepted when a claim is submitted clearly explain what happens if a case cannot continue because a passenger does not provide documentation that is essential for the legal process. This is not an exception created afterwards. It is part of the agreement from the very beginning. Regarding your comment about us not being able to identify your case, that was simply because your original review did not contain sufficient information for us to safely identify the correct passenger. We have thousands of cases, and we will never guess someone's identity when responding publicly. As soon as you provided your case number, we reviewed your file immediately. Finally, we would like to clarify that we did not ask to remove your review because it was negative. We reported it because it contained allegations describing our company as scammers. chose to leave your review online, but that does not mean they agreed with those allegations or determined them to be true. We remain disappointed that your case could not proceed, because our objective was always to bring it before the German court. Took three years to do anything, now I OWE THEM.

Took three years to do anything, so I completely forgot about this. Now I have to pay a 300+ EUR “No action” fee for absolutely NOTHING—during the worst, lowest moment of my life. I don’t even CARE about the flight delay anymore, forgot it even happened!! THREE YEARS. I’m sure it’s gonna be “but we did do something, we reminded the airline!!” 400 EUR of reminders? Extortionate. No other way to describe it. I encourage anyone in a similar situation to weigh your options before paying. Check Google and other sources for how to deal with companies like this. Dear Ashley First of all, we are truly sorry for your recent loss. We completely understand that this has been an incredibly difficult time for you, and we appreciate that dealing with a flight compensation claim may not have been your highest priority. That said, we do feel it is important to clarify what actually happened in your case. Your case was not closed because we "did nothing." Over the course of the claim, we worked on your behalf, contacted the airline, and progressed the case to the point where it was ready for court proceedings. Before we could file the case, however, the court required new signed Powers of Attorney. We contacted you requesting these documents, but unfortunately we did not receive a response. The invoice was therefore not issued because your claim was unsuccessful. It was issued because we were unable to continue the legal process after carrying out substantial work on your behalf and not receiving the documentation required by the court. What is particularly unfortunate is that this is not where the story ends. After learning about your circumstances, we contacted you again and offered to reopen your case and cancel the invoice in full. All we asked was that you return the signed court documents so we could continue pursuing your compensation. That offer remains open today. So the only reason the invoice exists at all is because we never received the documents needed to continue the case. We would much rather take your case to court than issue an invoice, because unlike what your review suggests, our business succeeds when passengers receive compensation, not when cases are closed. You also mention that we "know exactly who you are." Whenever we ask for identifying information publicly, it is simply to ensure we are reviewing the correct case. We have thousands of active and completed cases, and protecting passengers' personal information is something we take very seriously. We genuinely understand your frustration, and we sympathise with your personal situation. However, we do not believe this review reflects the efforts we have made to help you. Even now, our goal is still to pursue your claim, not to collect an invoice. DO NOT USE TRAVELREFUND! They are an absolute scam operation. They lure you in with the promise of a "No Win, No Fee" service, claiming it’s entirely free unless they secure your flight compensation. Don't believe a word they say. My Case T41641 dragged on for over THREE YEARS with virtually zero progress. Throughout this entire agonizing process, I responded to every single one of their inquiries and provided absolutely all the information they asked for. Yet, out of nowhere, they closed my ticket under the completely false pretense of "No Action Received." They are flat-out lying about not receiving my documents just so they can exit the case. To make matters worse, they immediately hit me with a €165 "invoice" for closing the case, threatening to send it to a debt collection agency if I don't pay. They failed to get me a single cent from the airline after 3 years, yet they are trying to extort €165 out of me for their own incompetence and failure. They are highly unprofessional, dishonest, and predatory. Save yourself the nightmare, stay far away from this company, and claim directly through the airline yourself.

Dear Noel We are sorry to read your review, but we must strongly disagree with several of the statements you have made, as they do not reflect what happened in your case. TravelRefund is a genuine no cure no pay service. We do not charge passengers because a claim is unsuccessful. Our fee only becomes relevant in the specific situations described in the terms and conditions accepted when a case is submitted, including when a claim cannot be pursued because we do not receive the documentation required to continue the legal process. We certainly did not spend more than three years "doing nothing." During that time, your case was handled, the airline was contacted, and the matter was pursued as far as possible. Unfortunately, before we could continue with the next legal step, we were missing documentation that was required to proceed. Without it, we were legally unable to continue the claim. We also categorically reject the suggestion that we invent reasons to close cases or issue invoices. We have no interest in closing valid claims. Quite the opposite. Our business only succeeds when passengers receive compensation, so our objective is always to pursue claims as far as the law allows. If there has been a misunderstanding regarding the documents you believe you provided, we are more than happy to review that with you. We always keep records of the correspondence relating to our cases, and we are happy to investigate if anything has been overlooked. TravelRefund: completely dissapointing experience

My experience with TravelRefund has been extremely disappointing. After creating a case and three unsuccessful attempts to contact the airlines, I received no communication for more than 1.5 years. Then, without any explanation or update, the company suddenly requested my passport for legal action to be handled by non-disclosed legal partner – despite the long silence and complete lack of guidance throughout the process. The service was unprofessional, ineffective, and poorly managed. Clear communication was entirely absent, and the handling of my case fell far below any reasonable standard. I cannot recommend TravelRefund based on this experience.

Your case was never closed or forgotten. After we submitted the claim, we contacted the airline on several occasions. When the airline failed to respond, we informed you that the next step would be a legal evaluation. That is exactly what happened. The request for your passport was not unexpected or unrelated to your case. It was requested because your claim had progressed to the stage where our legal partner required identification before court proceedings could begin. This is a standard legal requirement and not something unique to your case. We appreciate that legal proceedings can feel slow, particularly because there are often long periods where there are no developments from either the airline or the legal system. During those periods, there is unfortunately very little new information that can be shared. That does not mean your case is inactive. We are therefore surprised that you describe our service as ineffective when, in reality, your case progressed exactly as intended from airline correspondence to legal preparation. Our objective has always been to pursue your rights, and we remained ready to continue doing so. If you no longer wished to proceed, we also made it clear that you were welcome to request closure of the case. However, by that point, significant work had already been carried out on your behalf, including airline correspondence, legal assessment, and preparation for legal proceedings. Flight Case No: 85255 I recently received an invoice for €165 from Travelrefund ApS, but the document contained very little information about the underlying claim or service provided. The invoice did not identify the flight, booking reference, case number, or any agreement authorizing the fee. As a customer, I expected a clear explanation of what the charge relates to and how it was calculated. I have contacted the company requesting: - Documentation showing that I agreed to the service and fee. - Confirmation of how the amount was calculated. Until this information is provided, I am unable to verify the legitimacy of the charge. I would appreciate a prompt and transparent clarification from Travelrefund so that this matter can be resolved.

Hi CA Thank you for your review. We appreciate that you would like more information about the invoice, and we are of course happy to provide it. However, we believe your review leaves out some important details. Your invoice was not issued unexpectedly. During the handling of your case, we contacted you several times requesting a copy of your flight ticket, as this document was required before we could take the case to court. We sent multiple reminders, followed by a formal notice explaining that if we did not receive the requested documentation, we would be unable to continue your case and it would be closed in accordance with our agreement. Unfortunately, we never received the requested document or any response from you. All of these emails were sent to the same email address that you used when submitting your claim, so we are a little surprised that you state you were unaware of what the invoice relates to. We genuinely wanted to continue your case and pursue your compensation through the courts. Unfortunately, without the required documentation, that was simply not possible. As you mention, you have now contacted us requesting further documentation regarding the invoice. We are happy to provide this and explain both the basis of the invoice and how it has been calculated. We have always believed that open dialogue is the best way to resolve questions like these.
