A deletion flow that a solo user cannot complete, and no hint as to why
I signed up for a Trello Premium trial on 3 August 2026, my first time back since Atlassian acquired Trello years ago. Within a day, I knew it was not for me and went to close the account. I could not. Atlassian blocked deletion with this: "Your account can't be deleted because: User is last billing admin of a transaction account that has one or more active entitlements." That is the entire message. No explanation of what an entitlement is, no link, no next step, no indication of what I was supposed to do. I am one of the people who signed up alone the previous day. Of course I am the last billing admin; there has never been anyone else. The flow is written as though every account is a company with a billing department; don't even get me started on the user journey. There was no guidance anywhere. I worked it out myself after 30 minutes of trial and error and searching: delete the Trello board, then the workspace, and only then does Atlassian account deletion go through. Not one of those steps is mentioned when your deletion request is blocked. A single sentence saying "remove your workspaces first" would have solved it. Instead the product tells you no and leaves you to it. I appreciate that a company cannot always make leaving frictionless. But there is a difference between friction and a dead end with the signposts removed, especially when a trial is ticking towards a paid subscription in the background. Trello used to be one of the good ones, genuinely simple and pleasant to use. What I found on returning was an Atlassian account system bolted on top of it, a ridiculously complex account management system, and the first thing it did was make me fight to leave. I got out. I will not be back.

Je ne peux malheureusement pas mettre…
Je ne peux malheureusement pas mettre zéro étoile. Je me suis inscrite pour utiliser la version gratuite de Trello. Un essai Premium s'est activé automatiquement et il m'a fallu plusieurs heures pour revenir au plan gratuit. Ensuite, impossible de supprimer mon compte : les boutons de suppression me renvoyaient constamment vers les mêmes pages, et même après le retour au plan Free, le système indiquait toujours qu'un "active entitlement" empêchait la suppression de mon compte. Cette expérience utilisateur a été extrêmement frustrante et m'a fait perdre un temps considérable. Je ne recommande absolument pas cette plateforme.

Your private data is no longer safe
They decided to start using your private data, the data you enter in your cards which could easily include sensitive information, for training AI models. Yes, it's possible to opt out, but it requires a lot of effort, with a 2-3 day pause during the process, and most of all it should never have been "we'll take your private data and use it for our own processes unless you actively ask us not to". It should be the other way around.

Logs out after some time
The Trello, in recent weeks, keeps logging out and then asks to sign in again and then asks for complicated human verification. Why? once I have logged in and then daily when I sit on work, do I always have to waste time on logging in again and again? Need to switch to somewhere else
