Hiking to Materuni Waterfall
Hiking to Materuni Waterfall at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro was quite an experience… I took a day trip from Moshi town with Sam of Tukutanetravel. He was so knowledgable and made the hiking trip a memorable learning experience. I love being in nature! We hiked from the Materuni Village, around 30 minutes, through the picturesque agricultural land and deep into the rain forest to the waterfall that stands around 500 ft. tall… Thank you Tukutanetravel!

Great experience at Tukutane Homestay
We stayed at Tukutane Homestay in February, during the hot season, and had a wonderful time. Sam, the host, organized a very nice running trip around the Kilimanjaro area for us, which was a great experience. After the runs, it was perfect to come back to the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere of the homestay. The place is clean, welcoming, and located in a great area near KCMC and the International School, with restaurants nearby. The hosts were extremely kind and helpful with everything we needed, and the breakfast was very delicious. A perfect base to explore Moshi and the Kilimanjaro region.

We stayed at Sam’s place
We stayed at Sam’s place, Tukutane Kilimanjaro View, during the Kilimanjaro Marathon at the end of March and were extremely pleased with the care and hospitality. The hosts were exceptionally kind and attentive, always ensuring that everything was perfect for our stay. The accommodation is მშვიდ, comfortable, and conveniently located near the marathon starting area, and the breakfast was excellent. A fantastic place to stay in Moshi – we would gladly return! Thank you, Sam.

Tukutane is excellent tour experience
Our safari with this tour company was nothing short of extraordinary. From the very first interaction, their team was warm, organized, and genuinely committed to giving us the best experience possible. Every detail — from pick-up to drop-off — was handled smoothly and professionally. What truly set this company apart was the quality of the guides. Their knowledge of wildlife behavior, the Serengeti ecosystem, and the best viewing spots made every game drive exciting and educational. They knew exactly where to go for the most memorable sightings — we saw lions up close, cheetahs on the hunt, elephants crossing the plains, and countless other animals in their natural habitat.
